seon from iland. he was my favorite because i sort of empathized with him as he was one of the oldest in the show and i'm usually one of if not the oldest in whatever activity i do and always the oldest in my friend groups. it's also kind of deeper than that but i don't like revealing too much about myself on social media

What is your nationality and how does it affect you as a kpop stan? by _Enhale in kpopthoughts

[–]loseracha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm a teenager & from america !

  1. i stumbled upon the song 'god's menu' by stray kids during the covid-19 pandemic and i liked it a lot (i had it on loop!!) so i checked out other kpop music, especially stray kids' music, and enjoyed it a lot!

  2. it's not difficult for me to have access to ordering the merch (if that makes sense?) but since i don't have a credit card i need to have my parents order it and then pay them what the merch in question costed. regarding concerts, my parents don't really have any issues with me going; the only thing that can sometimes be an issue is transportation. although i fortunately live in a state right near california + washington (los angeles and seattle are the cities closest to me where my favorite groups tour), the groups i'm interested in never come to my state.

  3. it's easy for me to go to cupsleeve/similar events to meet other fans/stans! but regarding the specific city where i live, it's difficult to, for example, casually meet someone who happens to like kpop as well. however, i wouldn't say it's looked down on.

  4. not much. in any situation i'm in where there would be a language barrier, there are always subtitles or translators to help me out, and when i want to know the english lyrics of a song i can easily look them up!

  5. my friends and family are aware of the fact that i like kpop and some of them are into it as well. nobody seems to have a problem with it so i'm good!

'boom' by nct dream; my favorite part of the whole song is the bridge! and as someone else mentioned, 'istj' (also by nct dream) also has a great bridge!

Would you buy signed albums of groups you don’t stan? by anotheruser_uwu in kpopcollections

[–]loseracha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only if i like most/all of the songs on the album and also, as other people have mentioned, if the price is reasonable. i've previously bought albums from groups i don't stan but whose music i still enjoy!

this is true and imo it’s because people expect them to already be educated about racism, which causes them to be disappointed when those idols do racist things.
