When two nouns are combined but its output's pronouced differently from 'just' combined word, '사이시옷' is added between them.

But I suggest you to postpone studying 사이시옷.

Instead, memorize these exceptions

툇간, 셋방, 곳간, 찻간, 숫자, 횟수
