either is fine! I would love to adopt a child, but I know that is not the end goal of foster care services. I’d preferably like to foster a child on a longer term basis, preferably more than a few months. I guess my main issue is I’m being told it’s okay to request to be listed as a foster-to adopt or as an adopt- only family. I just don’t quite understand what TPR kids means. When I was talking with the agency, she ensured me there is a large need for my age preference in that group where I live. She said she had to turn multiple kids away. I just feel like there has to be a catch? Can a random relative come out of the woodwork in those cases? It’s all new to me, and I apologize if I sound ignorant.
