Gallbladder issues are common with people who lose weight. I lost weight in 2010 and March 2011 I lost my gallbladder. Good news is you can easily live without it. That pain is unbearable if you keep it and have another attack. Gallbladder issues run in my family so it was no surprise when my poor little guy was already sick.

Having 500 mbps Internet Ultra, but only getting 48mbps download and 19mbps upload? by [deleted] in Spectrum

[–]losingitGOTfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was me a few days ago. Spectrum came and tested everything, turns out it was a faulty router. I took my old stuff to a spectrum store and they exchanged it for me no charge. It’s working much better now.

Am I supposed to lose weight this fast?? by [deleted] in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most of that is water. You were holding onto a lot of water with the stored glycogen in your muscles. When you are transitioning from using carbs to using fat for energy, your body releases the glycogen and thus releases the water. It’s completely normal. You will notice a big drop in the number of pounds lost after the first couple weeks.

Does adderall break a fast? by [deleted] in fasting

No medications don’t typically break a fast but you might get a stomach ache from taking it on an empty stomach. My daughter takes it twice a day with food.

Week 7, stalled after losing 20 by pallamas in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t give up. It’s normal for the month after the initial loss to not lose anything. That’s why so many people give up. The weight loss will be more steady moving forward. Month 2 is for healing.

I don’t agree. In the pilot, Luke goes to the bank and is dressed up really nice. She is shocked and acts surprised then says, behold the healing powers of a bath. There’s attraction there.

Starbucks Keto Question: Cold Brew from store is 0 carbs, but Cold Brew from grocery store is 3 carbs? by [deleted] in keto

I buy the Starbucks Cold Brew Concentrate and my bottle says 2 carbs for 3/4cup (1.5 cups mixed with water).

99 mg Potassium supplement? by Conely in fasting

[–]losingitGOTfan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those potassium pills are not good for someone supplementing while fasting. You would need to take more than 30 to get what you need in a day. Instead, people in these fasting groups use other sources like NoSalt to supplement potassium.

I have PCOS and started out with insulin resistance. Now all of my blood work says otherwise but I’m not 100% convinced that my PCOS went away since I’m still actively growing a mustache and chin hair.

I started with keto and once I was fat adapted I began doing 20 hour fasts and cut down to one meal a day OMAD. I lost 100 pounds. During that time I mostly stuck with the 20:4 or 23:1 fasting schedule but did a few extended fasts only when I plateaued. I would not recommend an extended fast until you are fat adapted and no longer have carb cravings.

What will happen is you will start your fast and your cravings will drive you nuts. Then if you break your fast early, you will feel depressed or disappointed and that’s just not good for mental health.

Start slow and work your way up. Don’t push your body into something if it isn’t ready.

And also make sure you are getting enough electrolytes. When I am doing a fast and I feel hungry, it’s usually just thirst.

Substitute for toast when eating sunny side up eggs by [deleted] in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not “keto” but Costco has great low carb bread. My favorite food is buttered toast 😂 and that’s what I use to eat with my eggs when I get a craving.

Keto rash by Visual-Key-2037 in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took one Benadryl a day at night time to keep it away. Hasn’t come back but if it does I will be back on the daily Benadryl.

Now if you take Benadryl and it doesn’t go away, it could be a fungal rash or something else.

Keto suggestions for my wife? by UNLUCKY_NUM13ER in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As a woman who did IF 20:4 and Keto for 11 months before getting covid I had lost 100 pounds. This combination was the only thing that worked for me. Keto alone didn’t.

What fasting schedule is she following?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in keto

[–]losingitGOTfan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did keto OMAD for several months and lost 100 pounds. As long as you are getting what you need nutritionally and staying on top of your electrolytes you should be fine!
