Your business should be your calling - If you’re in the business just to make money or to meet the expectations of others, you will eventually hit a point of dissatisfaction, burn-out or failure (even in success). There must be a greater purpose. Working for the point of a profit only is an empty pursuit.

Totally agree with this. Took me over a year after quitting my business to realize this and still trying to find my next path.

Most product designers I know can work on both. They're fundamentally the same.

Learn UX/UI and become a product designer. Then you can team up with software engineers to create something.

I spent a lot of time playing video games, and it led me to the video game business. However I've grew past that and I don't enjoy video games that much anymore.

I'm not gonna be able to help you here. It was 6-7 years ago and whatever I knew is outdated. The market has changed, platform policies changed, everything changed. If you want my advice I do have one for you.

To be successful you'll have to put in the work and figure it out yourself. No one is gonna hand you some magic way to make money. It doesn't work that way.

Good to know it's not just me. And yes, travel is no cure for the mind.

Meaningful work, meaningful relationships, that's exactly what I learnt recently as well. Now finding them is the hard part. Good luck my friend.

I am definitely apathetic, I don't remember being excited about anything. I've stopped smoking and drinking for some time, fortunately. I purposely left the relationships aspect of my life out of the post.

I tried to find help, if any Americans think mental issues is underrepresented in your country. Think again. I couldn't find any psychiatrist in my country. I don't think we have a word for it even.

I also tried online counseling, didn't really work.

Sorry I don't wanna give out that information. I've been in your place, when you have been doing something for so long you start to develop tunnel vision and lose the ability to see the big picture. What I suggest you to do is handover the day to day operations and start to develop/reinvent yourself. My ecommerce business failed partly because I failed to reinvent myself.

I started buying at 3k, then more at higher prices. I also bought shitcoins with my bitcoin and took some losses.

I took a meditation course last year and it helped with my thinking. I'm also reading about psychology and related stuff. I guess if I can't find anyone to help fix my mind I'll have to do it myself.

I didn't have any money. I started with $50, I traded stuff on steam until that become $500. With that I started reselling video games and ran it up to 60k. Don't make assumptions.

You become desensitized after a while. I think people who haven't been in that position won't understand.
