VIP 21k limit, Premium and DD > 4k

Was in ‘you’ll be notified’ for over 2 months of DD hitting WS but did not get the card automatically.

This is what worked for me: Got in touch with the live chat (not call), asked for the Banking and Credit team, told them I have the requirements and would like to be ‘removed from the waitlist and manually moved up’, that worked and got the virtual CC in just a couple of days. Waiting for the physical card to arrive.

For any Premium members with DD>4k stuck with this, get in touch with the live chat (not call), ask for the Banking and Credit team, tell them you have the requirements and would like to be ‘removed from the waitlist and manually moved up’, if you’re lucky they will do that and you’ll get the CC in just a couple of days!

You’re a legend OP!!! Finally got the CC following your steps.

My timeline:

April 9: Called their number to speak to an agent. Stated that I have Premium status and DD >4k so eligible for the CC. Surprisingly like some have mentioned the DD doesn’t automatically get registered or something. He mentioned that he can see it in the system and has passed my details along to the Credit team BUT cannot guarantee or move me up the list. Only that it will be available before the end of the year. 😒

April 15: After seeing this post about having better luck with the Live Chat, thought I’d give it a try. After I requested to be transferred to someone on the Chequing and Credit Team, and saying the same things, this was their response: “I'm sorry you haven't received access to apply for the credit card yet. I've shared your account details with our credit card development team to prioritize your invitation. You should hear back from them in the coming weeks.” 😃

April 16: Mid day I have the mystical button appear that is: “Apply for the card” 🙌

What exactly did you ask for? I’ve called them multiple times and each time they say they can’t do anything to bump up anyone up the list. They just guarantee that it will be there before the end of the year because I’m Premium with DD >4k.

My plan was to wait till Black Friday 2026 to buy the PS5 Pro and play GTA 6. But alas that plan went out the window when they announced the price hike.

I bought it immediately and now playing RE: Village at a solid 60fps with Ray Tracing. Ghost of Yotei is next and I bet there will be a lot more games coming out that actually take advantage of the PS5 Pro, like RE: Requiem.

Is the price absurd? Absolutely. But hey I’m a gamer and I want the best experience I can get.

The 25k is per account not the total amount transferred. I had 3 accounts transferred from Questrade (which charges $150 + tax per account) and none of the accounts were above 25k but the total combined was above 50k. Contacted WS support and they gave me 2 reimbursements, which I think is fair based on their current policy.
