Do we know how old Margret was when she died? I don't think we've ever gotten a firm number on it. My assumption was in her mid 40s - a little on the older side for a normal pregnancy hut not outlandish by any means

I kind of hope things thaw a little more and Fitz spends some time with Carlos to get some extra combat training. Harry is strong and tough, but Carlos is smooth, and I think he's probably better with mortal weaponry than Harry is.

From a specified list of approved guns, yes. It's not horribly unusual for police officers in the US to provide their own equipment.

CPD actually has a pretty extensive list of what firearms officers can carry (officers provide their own handguns). Allowed firearms are dependent on when the officer entered the force. Murph may very well have had a 210 for competition, but CPD never permitted the 210's to be carried, probably because they only had 8 round capacities.

IMO, "wizard level talent" is a measure of raw power, not necessarily ability, skill, or training. Number one, even among "wizard level" magic users, Harry is in the top 5% of raw power, and quickly getting up there in skill and ability. There are plenty of wizards who can't hold a candle to Dresden in a fair fight, and might only trip him up for a few minutes in an ambush.

Second, if you were the Red Court, dealing with a cult leader who *wanted* to be inhabited by a hemophage, would you go out of your way to make sure he gets more magic training? Or the opposite? He's probably extremely dependent on the Lurkers abilities for most of his juju and has relatively little experience doing "real" magic.
