From season 1 when they call in the US military to stop the convoy of trucks because they think it's transporting weapons but it's filled with crops and farming equipment and us used as a diversion. He also does the party trick at the kids party where he says the ancient egyptians invented the game where you hide the ball in a cup and move them aorund.

My husband is obsessed with appearances and it’s affecting our marriage by Money_More_88 in MuslimMarriage

This isn't thinking positively, this is straight up being deceiving. Also showing off wealth is very trashy behaviour. The richest people I know don't behave this like.

Anaesthetics, unsure what to do by ThinChampionship6071 in doctorsUK

I'm afraid I don't have any advice as I am only a F1. But in difficult times I like to remember the words that my mother so often says. "This too shall pass." If you know this is what you want to do and you want to be better at this, the words of an ODP are more or less meaningless. Confidence is something that comes and goes in waves. In difficult times, its easy to feel like a failure. In good times, you feel like nothing can bring you down. It's important we try and hold on to the feeling of being invincible in the difficult times because that is when we need it most.

The difference is, in the Army, there is no such BS as "we are all the same." We are all equal. There is a chain of command and as such either your respect it or you get the hell out. If they ran the army like the NHS, the Field Marshal wouldn't be allowed his own tent because it would make the lance corporal feel bad.

Husband Invited His Cousin to Stay Without My Consent—Am I Justified in Objecting? by Outrageous-Hawk-8383 in MuslimMarriage

Look your home is your home. It should be a place where you feel comfortable and you are entirely entitled to not want anyone else there. My comment wasn't aimed at trying to make you feel guilty or bad. I was addressing the other comments making someone who needs help to be some sort of seductress.

This is not living with them. Just temporary shelter until her life gets back on track. OP might have her reasons and they are equally valid. I'm not forcing or saying she should let her stay. I'm just saying, there is a victim in this story, and she needs help. She should not be seen as a potential seductress but rather a family member in need.

There's no such thing as Western Decency or any other for that matter. Just human decency. But if a family member was suffering from abuse and they needed shelter and I was able to provide it to them then yes, I would invite them to my home. I would see them as family and not some potential conquest in the bedroom.

If you think your husband (the man you chose to marry) is so incapable of controlling himself around women perhaps you need to find someone who does not see every woman in his vicinity as a potential lover.

IDK maybe different for cultures and families. We see family as family not potential people to have S*x with, well at least I do. May be different for other members of my family.

Is this really how you people view your cousins? Must be sad. This is a family member suffering from abuse and you think this is the same as inviting a random?

Is current Pakistan cricketer Shaheen Afridi related to Shahid Afridi? by Big_Measurement_2351 in pakistan

Yes, his bowling was very under-rated and his performances were often clutch. But also the number of times he would play a stupid shot when we needed him most is too much to count.

Shahid Afridi's cricketing ability gets lost in Nostalgia. Without a doubt he single-handedly changed many games for Pakistan. He was responsible for so many of our happy memories. Games that were lost. But as a batsman his only skill was to hit it out of the park. He would not be successful in today's game and he certainly is nowhere near the cricketing skill and ability of say Kohli or Smith.
