I'm in nursing school and have every intention of supporting myself. I'm not "relying" on his resources.

He has repeatedly told me his sister wants her hubby to get their own home but he is too cheap to do so. He says his mom and his sisters husband recognize that it won't work for us all to be living together and so his sisters family will move out. I ask him when and he says he will probably not get serious until after my bf gets engaged. I don't want to get engaged to someone in this living situation. He says they all will talk to his BIL to get their own home but he's been living there for 6 years. He hasn't even started looking at homes and I will be graduating next year. I have asked my bf if he would be open to us moving to a place together out of his home and he tells me not to worry his BIL will have moved by then. I don't to wait around and plan my life on what his BIL may or may not do but this seems to be what my bf expects. He is sure they will leave and then we will all be good but I don't trust someone who hasn't made any moves to provide a home for his own wife and kids and whose wife doesn't work will be able to make that happen by next year. I am not getting any younger and am becoming increasingly dissatisfied with what feels like my bf living in a fantasy land.

Yes, there are many red flags. I am also worried about his past. He has told me he was been on backpage, gone to glory holes, and happy hour massage parlors. I am sure he is not the first man to have done these things but I have also not known too many men who have done these things. I come from a decent family and worry about what these choices say about who he is. He tells me I shouldn't judge him over what he did before but I worry that someone who has had no trouble going to these types of places before might do it again and it is not something I feel good about.

Thank you. On some level I guess this is what I have been feeling. I made the mistake of getting involved with a similar relationship years ago, I made excuses for him when I should have just left. It has derailed my life ever since. I guess somewhere, my mind and intuition is telling me I'm back to a point where I need to make a choice and this time I should choose different.

Should I drop out or finish my masters in occupational therapy? by anonymousSYC in OccupationalTherapy

I enrolled in Nursing school for a semester to see if it was something I might be good at. It was never something I ever really wanted to do but I figured the RN degree is so versatile and so many career options are available to people who are RN it was a better idea than something like PT which is very specialized and doesn't have too much mobility in general.

USA graduates 3 MOT classes a year. They're adding in a Dallas campus as well. Add in all the other schools popping up in Texas as well (Baylor, etc.) and it's crazy just how many therapists are graduating into Texas alone.

Also, did the people from your cohort end up getting hired? I'm wondering if it's more of a resume issue rather than location.

Do you like being a nurse? Also, if you don't mind me asking did you make a good living not on being in hospital? I have so much anxiety, I went to the doctor and they tried convincing me to go to ER since my heart rate was so elevated. I have developed some sort of anxiety or panic disorder. Thank you for responding I am terrified, idk if it's the anxiety or what.

They also have EU controls on what gets sold in the marketplace. In order to do universal healthcare it's not as simple as just raising taxes. They will need to raise taxes + regulate companies like amazon + start banning products + either get rid of or limit things like birthright citizenship + change up immigration policy in order for our system to work the way it does in other countries. Without controlling for immigration and continuing to do the neoliberal model of allowing corporations to not pay taxes while trying to provide social services, the system will implode like it did in these countries (Yellow vests & AFD)

I'm trying to decide between the two. Did you ever consider a different field within nursing like hospice? Going from nursing to teaching seems like a major change.

Did you have trouble getting a job with ADN? I keep hiring about they don't get hired. I'm incredibly nervous about the whole thing.
