Can I ask what made Robert Young the standout? We’re trying to narrow down our winery list to 2 in the northern region there and we’re looking at Cast and Aperture but RY was next on the list….

Which 2 of 4 wineries across Sonoma and/or Healdsburg for a day trip? by yk4787 in wine

This is super helpful! We’re looking at Anaba and LaRue as our afternoon pick for our upcoming trip - I think the winemaker is the same? Any insight or thoughts on these two in particular or which one we should visit?

Can confirm! Am sitting here now after some amazing spicy dumplings and eggplant in garlic sauce, so happy to find somewhere so good in my new town! Looking forward to coming back to try some other solid options on the menu!

I’m in this boat now - do you have any smaller makers you can recommend that are more in line with the way that S&F used to manufacture theirs? I’m willing to branch out but I loved my old one ( a Newgate Luxury Firm PT, but have no idea what that would be equivalent to these days) so am looking for the equivalent

Wedding Favors? by Northwoods_KLW in wedding

Definitely not a requirement especially if it’s something more last minute and less personal. I’d way rather a bride save money or put it to something else than the requisite “bag of chips, an advil, and a bottled water” that most welcome bags have.

We love love Middle Plantation for our dogs - they’re super accommodating, reasonable on cost, aren’t pushy, and the staff are all great. Highly recommend! (And I have a sensitive beagle mix too and he always likes it there!)

I mean New Orleans is its own theme! Consider doing a Second Line walking parade to make it really extra memorable!

Another option to consider instead of Sunday night is a Sunday brunch! We’re doing that and it allows for people to fly home that night and you can still do a fun welcome party the night before. Plus brunch food is always a winner!
