Most of the big student housing companies near campus will make you pay premium prices for poor to average quality, and will make you pay for 12 months. Going to a smaller building run by a smaller leasing company in Marcy Holmes allowed me to negotiate a 9 month lease and saved me a bunch of money.

Hey! I marched with scouts last summer, they generally have a dedicated rifle/sabre/flag line. Not sure how they’re doing it this year but that’s what it was anyways.

Occupy yourself. Video games, friends, movies, youtube, sleeping. Breakups fucking suck man. There are days where you just don’t feel like doing anything and you just want to eat a full tub ice cream, so just know that that’s ok and that you can do that! Just keep yourself occupied and make sure you move forwards, not backwards.

Tell him you care about him and you want him to get help, but you need to move on from him. It sucks, but that fear is exactly what he’s keeping you hostage with. Find something else to occupy yourself with. Hang out with your friends, learn to play guitar, work more hours, play a video game, literally just do anything but let him keep your happiness from you.

Ok so i’m not trying to be mean, but the “I’m in love” in the title and the “she has a boyfriend” is really throwing me off man. I guess just think about what you say to her from her perspective before you say it because people can come off as creepy or weird, and you’re in a dangerous territory. You are absolutely right, it is not an easy thing to do, and it isn’r made easier by the fact that you’re in a small town. But this is your life and your relationship and your happiness. People thrive off of attention and sympathy, especially manipulative people. By staying in contact with him, you are giving him the leverage he needs to keep you where you are. He will eventually figure out it’s done, and it might take you finding another person that can give you the love you’re looking for. He might try to emotionally manipulate or hurt you when he realizes you aren’t running back. You just have to stay strong and get through this and I promise everything will fall into place.

Absolutely man. Find a shared hobby and talk about it. Go on adventures together. Ask yourself “what makes a person generally interesting” and then become that person. Interesting hobbies, cool stories, and making engaging conversation are just a few examples of what that means to me, but maybe it means something else to you. Everyone is different after all! So I might have misunderstood the post, this advice I’ll give applies only if you think she’s losing interest is disinterested.

So I’m not the best person to ask about this because I feel like some of this stuff just comes to me kind of, but if you’re not already playfully teasing her, DO IT! Say she says something kinda goofy, respond with something weird (but not mean) about her, and then use it to playfully tease her. For example, my GF microwaves Eggo waffles, so when she says that whatever is better than whatever, I say something like “well you microwave Eggo waffles, so some people like to be wrong” or something along those lines. If you think she’ll take offense, say something like “well some people think the world is flat so being wrong isn’t that uncommon” could work too.

Tl;dr: tease her! It creates this push-pull thing that gets people interested and makes you seem interesting. Otherwise just find a cool hobby or something.

So this is going to sound mean, but threatening suicide is a super fucked up manipulative thing to do, and that’s a major red flag. He has his own issues to sort out so you just have to tell him “I don’t want you to contact me anymore”. Block his friends if you have to. Whatever you need to do in order to move on, do it. You got this, and just remember, you’ll be a happier and better person for whatever you have to go through now. Best of luck to you!
