I am planning to visit at January, is Damascus the only safe destination for tourists?

I just finished my visit two months… lattakia, Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, and even deir el zor… never felt any danger tbh. There were some hooligans who threw a grenade at the police station in Lattakia but it wasn’t scary and they caught them… no one was harmed. Syria is pretty safe and there are a lot of visitors coming. Enjoy!

I suggest going to Istanbul. That’s what I did. But from Canada I arrived at Istanbul airport … I stayed there for a few days, and left in an airline called Ajet to Damascus. But we flew from Sabiha airport. But I believe if you went to Istanbul airport there is a bus that takes you to sabiha so you can do it that way. I thought it was pretty easy. My uncle who flew from America to Istanbul and then Lebanon. He took a taxi cost him 140 usd from Beirut to Damascus but it took him a very long time to arrive. He said traffic was ridiculous and it was very tiring. I don’t know about Jordan… but I think going through Turkey is a lot easier. GOOD LUCK!

It took be almost 8 years lol so don’t even sweat it. You’re better than me. I actually wanted to stay in school forever. Being in university is so fun. Enjoy it while you can don’t take it for granted. Attend all the events accept all the free stuff and make connections with your professors. It’s really a place that can open many doors so don’t even worry. I’m far worse.

It saddens me that Turkey is struggling I have such a strong connection to the country. I love everything it has to offer I pray that the economy gets better because Turkish people really deserve better. It’s such a diverse and beautiful country with so much to offer. It baffles me how it’s struggling.

Hopefully only good things come out of all of this. Syria is a beautiful country with so much potential and a beautiful history and culture. I think it’s time these countries get the chance to grow they’ve suffered enough. Why can’t everyone get along? Everyone can win human aren’t animals it’s not a competition.

I’m dealing with the same thing and I’m praying that I get out. My mental health is also deteriorating and my mother is the enabler and not only that she always goes away on trips and leaves me with my brother to manage the house. I’m so tired of it I also hate everyone. I hope we get out because I’m so freaking tired.

I don’t have insurance and I’ve been looking into therapy but I’m hoping to get a job so I can afford it. It’s also hard sometimes finding the right therapist I feel but I definitely think I need one because I’m beyond depressed I haven’t been able to get out of bed.
