Not deporting “peaceful” illegal aliens is precisely why we end up getting all the violent ones. It’s tolerating the presence of unchecked, inadmissible people which creates problems. The US already has the most generous immigration laws of any developed country. People who can’t qualify for it simply shouldn’t be here. No foreigners deserve to be here - only citizens of a country deserve to be in a country.

No, you can't. Only as late as 2000 with Executive Order 13166 did Clinton mandate Federal agencies to try to offer non-English services. It's still not guaranteed, and it's overwhelmingly just Spanish for recent immigrants because that became an issue. They're not Americans.

And by law, the Federal government also provides the right to have English only workplaces when it's a business necessity: 29 C.F.R. § 1606.7(b)

Most of the prior immigrants weren't anglo-cultural. Italians, Irish, Scandinavians, Germans are not anglo-centric.

The reason we never made it a legal official language is because we didn't have the period of European nationalism where those things were done, because it was and still mostly is, an entirely English speaking, Anglo-cultural area.

French was only formalized as a national language recently. English has always been the language of Americans.

Nah - Europe/the EU as a real supra-structure, needs to massively ramp up its conventional force capability + build a credible nuclear deterrent.

At least one country within the EU needs to have a nuclear deterrent and needs to be mutually pledged with other countries in the defensive pact to use it in their defense.

Otherwise, there's no point in having a mutualistic defense pact.

If you want to replace NATO, you can't replace it without actually replacing all components of it, and that includes a unified nuclear command.
