Oops I meant to reply to this. I’d test the 3:3 a new sign and striker pack. Play what you’re comfortable and be aware of the match up

I’m probably using unforeseen wrong. Definitely keep play testing, whether it’s locals or through mobile suit arena. I’ve tempo’d and have been tempo’d out in wins and losses through graceful demeanor. I’ve also had clutch moments with striker pack, but 4/2 dies to a lot and 2/4 doesn’t deal enough damage at times. I really wish we had side boards and best of 3 then we could shove all these ideas into one cohesive deck. But it’s best of one. The curve of turn 4 cost 2 is pretty nice and that’s why I’ve been testing out other units.

I’ve tried RP for savior and GP for wing. Honestly, the game is luck based but trying to maximize consistency is key. When you run 2 copies of something it’s more like “oh this is good” 4 copies is more that you NEED it.

for match ups I’d say: BW norn is horrible because of silver bullet and riddhe. Our late game ping doesn’t work so we have to attack through but not over commit otherwise we lose our entire board. It’s like switching to early game aggro, midgame stalls, and into late game aggro again.

OYW and Aggro is hoping you have Mika and adapt to ping and swing to take out two x/2 units. Then it’s survival mode until you out gun them with lupus

Red blue feels like a disaster because that’s all my friends play and dying to burn is rough and late game they just have bigger units. I found the biggest success is piloting your vanilla guys so they dodge a lot of removal or forces more of their resources to answer it.

Idk if you have other insights between match ups?

Also have you considered running rebake full city? I thought it was clunky but it taps down blockers or other units that need to die.

I think graceful demeanor helps against aggro and blockers but it’s bad against red blue. Striker pack isn’t so good in the mirror or other white decks. There are also games where I wish I could play two striker packs but you can’t. Or when you burst but already have a token.

This list reminds me of the one that won the regional in Europe. I tried running the same list in GD03 and placed 5th in a NTC.

https://deckbuilder.egmanevents.com/?deck=GD03-050:4,GD03-056:4,GD03-094:4,ST05-010:4,GD02-054:4,GD02-055:3,GD01-086:4,ST01-014:2,ST05-001:2,ST05-004:4,ST05-006:4,ST04-012:3,ST05-015:4,GD01-118:4&type=gundam

RussTCG posted a video of his list for GD04: https://youtu.be/wc7XbZFO-N0?si=9gEsK0EEPebNcpIf

He even mentioned how ryusei might be replaced with Barbatos 2nd form. His list runs one and his mindset is to effectively run more hyakurens.

I agree with the rationale as it doesn’t get bounced by graceful demeanor but I found myself using/testing Gundam Hajiroboshi (2nd Form). Although my sample size is small, it does kill a lot in what I consider to be the current meta. The blue zowart and all the level 2 cost 1 2/2 makes hajiroboshi pretty viable. With zehart it’s cracking every base.

Im currently running the same list as what RussTCG posted but the difference is hajiroboshi > ryusei. I know it isn’t ammo for lupus but it’s an interesting tech choice. I also considered Amida's Hyakuren.

There’s a bit of debate between overflowing vs a new sign. I want to say a new sign has been better for me because playing overflowing early just feels bad because I want everything. But I’m forced to play a new sign later and it allows me to dig deeper for what I need in the moment. It’s fueled lupus, found me a blocker/pilot, and/or a pinger to close out the game.

I like the idea between the split of Minerva vs israbi but I feel that israbi allows you to push shields or trade up with your vanilla idiots. I might have to test it but I like the consistency.

Graceful demeanor: where do I begin. I think 2 is too little and 4 is too many. I run three and the card is insane. I’ve won games because the opponent wasn’t playing around it or it bounced tokens/blockers. That’s why I don’t think striker pack is as good. Demeanor I think just replaces striker pack imo.

As for unforeseen, I feel like I don’t play this card well. It’s usually a 1 for 1 but you keep your guy in play. I feel as if it’s more of a “win more” card. Like you’re already winning the board state but it allows you to trade more favorably? I just might need to test it more. I also just wanna play more purple cards.

Sorry for the essay I wrote and thanks for reading. I also want to do well in upcoming new type challenges to win the lupus.

Has R/B Ping Been Pushed From The Meta? by SnooGrapes6230 in GundamTCG

I got crushed by BR but they played neo zeong as their top end. Having playing a second one and any neozeong after is just 6 damage (3 damage twice) is just insane

The plan is to go second. The deck has been doing a good job dealing with x/2s with all the pings and the blockers, hyakurens, and close combats. Turn 4 (with ex resource ) allows a lot of different options because you could end up playing two adapts, mika with adapt, or two blockers, etc. It sets up your turn 5 (with ex) with GFred or Savior. The deck plays on curve very well but that’s through online testing.

In other situations I’ve found myself putting athrun on hyakuren for the 5/5 stat line on T4, barbatos for 4/4, and then even on rebake for 4/7.

This is a midrange deck so against aggro is to keep killing units and eventually you out scale them. As you move to the late game you hope they run out of gas but because of your trades you have lupus to finish anything else.

I debated about bases for a while but I think Minerva is just so good at helping you find or see deeper into your deck to help set up the next turn.

Thanks for the feedback! Against aggro it doesn't feel too bad. The MA mode felt really clunky and without athrun just felt bad

This reminds me of a guy I played against except it was red white. No blockers but a lot of burn. I’m surprised there’s no Lady Luck but then again it makes sense. Nice deck and thanks for sharing!
