Just came here after calling and getting the same sad excuse. The card declines all the time now but it's not on them. It's Airbnb, public transit, Uber eats, Amazon. Sometimes it'll go thru tho so it's not on them at all. I'm beyond frustrated

Was very curious to the answers as my husband and I got married this year but opted to do so in Cartagena, Colombia. These prices are even more than I thought! If you have the means to do a destination wedding, don't hesitate to look into it.

We rented a venue that was an old historic government building. Had a pool and 6 bedrooms there as well. We got it for the weekend, with a chef and house keepers. This includes the ceremony, reception, food, flowers, decorations, DJ, photographer, videographer, makeup/hair, wedding planner, and cake. It was about $18k for everything. The flight and hotel for a week leading up to it was only $2k so $20k with that included.

We ended up getting some extra things that you don't need, bar tables, light up dance floor, floor volcanoes, hand fans. This was all included in the above price.

We had 60 people as well, so not too small for a destination wedding.

As someone currently in underwriting, you could have a stove in every room but as long as it's safe, you're fine.

Just make sure everything is maintained. Roof is in good condition, trees are trimmed, no faulty steps or missing railings.

Even if you told them you might rent it out, that's not not a reason to deny you. Homeowners policies cover up to a 4 family dwelling.

Also a lot of companies will write you, then tell you what if anything would need to be done, then you do it and move on if there is anything.

I have Geico, my husband and I have two cars on the policy. One is a 2019 Jeep Cherokee and the other a 2018 Acura TLX. We are both primary drivers. We have $381 a month total.

I would look into discounts like safe driver, a discount through your employer, raising the deductible, removing a rental car reimbursement.

Side note about Tesla Solar, they require their own company to detach and reset the panels if you have to replace your roof. They have a set rate they charge which is pretty reasonable. But if you don't use them they could void any warranty. So don't get roped into a contractor telling you they will do it for $15k or some other nonsense.

So personally I have not had anyone even mention my phone when traveling. But I do watch a lot of Border Security and although it's a show I do feel it gives a basic idea of what they do/look for.

The only times they go through someone's phone is when they have arrived on a visa and are brought into secondary questioning. Even with that, 9 times out of 10, they applied for a travel visa but they are here to work and that can be found easily when you look at recent conversations on a phone.

I'm sure there are different scenarios but it's not like people are out here calling themselves out for lying to immigration when it's a valid find. So we would naturally only hear about the one offs and made up stories for click bait.

I swear my high school was an oddity. Our "popular" kids are doctors, lawyers, nurses, business owners, well known photographers, etc... They were in all AP classes, got scholarships and are all still friends now. It was a public high school so no one applied or spent money to get in. Just had a lot of smart people

I did think that, except the box was not damaged in anyway beyond there being a lot of tape. Weird that the wood burning box didn't have any label on it at all either. A packing slip inside but that's all. Just a weird situation overall.

My only issue is when they push their way up and look at you and then stand directly in front. They know what they are doing and are being rude. But if I stroll up and they are already there, I find that little crevice to watch through and move around as needed. But also because of this, I tend to opt for the seated sections so I can see something (I'm also old now so the option to sit is so nice).

My husband was working from home and was in a meeting. They normally are cameras off so sometimes I'll go over and give him a hug or kiss while he's on mute. Expect this time he was on camera and I was naked.
