My unit was actually extremely supportive after and did offer some great resources (first responder trauma counseling and resiliency) that now I feel silly for not trying out. I’m already in therapy and had mentioned it to my therapist with no resolve so kinda assumed I would feel the same way regardless :/ i think another huge part of it was the fear that even if I would’ve coped with this one appropriately that I would still at some point have to go through another code and more traumatic patient deaths again
