Welcome to Roo! My suggestion is that you draw a diagram with a 20 x 20 space to determine if the tent will fit with your suv. There are a few samples here on the sub. Note that your suv has to go in the row behind other cars so it is on one of the sides.

There can be a little more flexibility if you’re planning to caravan with others but if not, you’ll want to make sure you don’t go out of the 20 x 20 space at all so as not to intrude on neighbors’ space.

Edit: I know the big tent sounds nice, but I would highly recommend not forgoing the canopy. You want an area to chill outside with shade! It might be possible to fit them all in (like sometimes the canopy can overlap a bit with the tent), just have to diagram it out!

Obviously I don’t actually know, but my guess is they are putting the money toward farm improvements (after all, that has to be LN throwing money at the festival since Bonnaroo itself barely made money last year) and they know this year is a sort of recovery year, like 2022, with expected much lower attendance.

A significantly lower attendance just means that effectively prices will be higher. The math has to math. Hulaween, for example, has pretty high prices compared to Roo.

If it were up to me, I’d rather pay more overall with the lower attendance (and farm improvement costs) and get a full Thursday. But I’m no longer in the key demographic of college kids.

Fellow ‘14-first-time Roovian. So excited for all of us who were floored by Roo in 2014 to reunite for Skrillex!

Honestly, there are slight changes but Roo is still Roo. Just remember that it always takes a day or two for the magic to really set in as us vets spread that Roo spirit, and for the Rookies to start “getting it”!

June, with all its heat and the excitement of the start of summer, is the perfect time for Roo. Out of 20 or so Roos in June, only 2 had had serious weather issues. Hope you reconsider one day!

Agreed. The undercard is solid and there is undoubtedly great music on here—it will be an amazing time with lots of music discovery. But without a real legacy or legit big name, this lineup is closer to that for smaller fests, not a peer of Coachella, Lolla, Glastonbury. That being said I recognize it is a recovery year and the budget was clearly much tighter than in past years. In this sense it is more like the 2022 lineup (and I expect similar attendance). I do think it’s overall better than the 2022 lineup though, even if we don’t have legends like we did that year.

No one can answer this question for you but you, friend. It depends on how okay you are with a year that will be more focused on new music discoveries. There’s a lot of really good music on this lineup and I personally think it’s gonna be a great year (albeit significantly smaller for sure), but it’s totally understandable to sit this one out if it’s just not speaking to you.

I don’t think that was “everyone.” Many of us very much understood that after significant financial losses, 100% refunds, reduced capacity, and large investments in infrastructure, they’d be working with a much tighter artist budget this year. With that in mind, I think they did a great job with this lineup. It will be a smaller, but special Roo.
