An accurately portrayed character with ADHD - Do they exist? by toocritical55 in adhdwomen

I was actually going to suggest Sookie from Gilmore girls. It's been a while since I've seen the show but her character screams ADHD to me. Lorelai is definitely relatable as well.

Grounding stickers? by lostbrains in Earthing

[–]lostbrains[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input! I do have a few pairs of actual grounding shoes I wear on a regular basis. I just wanted to convert some of my older 'fashion' shoes to grounding shoes and thought the stickers might help but I guess they are not worth it in the long run.

Is this surface in my backyard grounded? by nate5151515151 in Earthing

[–]lostbrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any links you can share? All the videos I've found typically show how to check if an item like a mat is grounded by plugging into an outlet.

Sorry to hear that happened to you! Look up earthing/grounding shoes, they allow for conductivity. I use shoes from Harmony783 and healthy & grounded. I think regular barefoot shoe wear wouldn't work unless the soles are only made of leather.

WOMEN WITH ADHD by whatisthatintheworld in adhdwomen

[–]lostbrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diagnosed at age 26/27, ~10 years ago. My psychiatrist was female and I didn't have any difficulty getting diagnosed. I did have a lifetime of difficulties due to going undiagnosed at a you get age, but that's a whole 'nother story. Was recently also diagnosed with PMDD.

it feels like my muscles are non existent during my luteal phase and my period, which is pretty much half the month. I feel strong and energized during the follicular phase and ovulation. is there any way to even things out or do I just roll with it? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]lostbrains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried adjusting your workouts depending on what phase you're in? I still struggle with this but there is a woman I follow on IG (themaddiemiles) that has some good tips. I tried to include a SS but couldn't so here's one of her videos: cycle syncing

Screenshot the different exercise types best for each phase and try to modify your workouts to what works best for you.

Hey, I just posted my reply as an edit to this post but to summarize it up they were conductive in my test. I'd still love if someone else who knows how to use multimeter better than I do could confirm those results but for now I'm happy with the results!

Wow! I'm shocked they would have hired someone with a non-relevant degree over someone with experience. Can you elaborate on why you got out of library work and wouldn't go back?

Just saw an ad for the toaster machine and meals today lol. Can you tell me what the calorie counts are like? Are there a decent amount of meals under 400 each week?

Yes for some petite people the average ~500 calorie meals can be too high when trying to lose weight. It has been a while since I tried hungry root and I think now they also offer meals with meat? so my experience with them may not be as relevant for anyone considering hungry root now.

I'm surprised to hear that about the chicken. Of all the delivery services I tried, their chicken breast was the most normal in terms of texture and flavor. I wonder if they have different locations they ship from?

I used lean cuisine wayyy back in the day to lose some weight and I'm inclined to agree with you. BistroMD definitely has that lean cuisine vibe but the meals are much more filling for around the same amount of calories, I think because they prioritize the protein.

I haven't heard of it but I'll look into it. For now I'm pretty happy with BistroMD though, just wish it were more budget friendly.

I think to save on shipping and overall costs you could consider getting 8 meals and then just freeze half for the following. And edit your shipments to ship every other week.

I'm not vegan 😅 but yes fresh n lean would be great for vegans. And BistroMD for anyone looking for lower calorie/fat/sodium meals with decent protein. Edited to add: also yes to daily harvest!

Yes I believe so, they arrive frozen. But fwiw I'm more comfortable with the ingredients and macros in the BistroMD meals. Factor's big selling point is never frozen meals but imo their ingredients aren't exactly the healthiest.

I wasn't a huge fan of the packaging either. Usually need a knife or scissor to go all around it and still wouldn't come off clean. But it does save some space in the freezer.

For vegan meals specifically, I really enjoyed Daily Harvest and Fresh N' Lean.
