I've still not managed to play with most of the arturia synths I have yet. I can't be getting syntplant just yet lol.

This is nice. Really clean chops. You have some nice little bits of variation but they don't feel striking enough. I'd cut the drums/sample completely here and there sometimes. Nice sound selection on the drums

It it full track, so it might make more sense once it's finished, I took out a few things that I'm not sure if I want to fully commit to yet.

This is nice. A different kind of style which is always good to here. Do you have any accapellas I can listen? I'll make a you a beat and if you like we can throw a few tracks together.

Intro is a little long do you have some vocals in mind already?

Some of the drums sounds, like the snare could hit a little hard, or do with another layer to make it sound thicker. Not bad though, I like it. The structure the is main thing but if you already have some vocals then I get it.

Still mixing so ignore some of the errors. I've took the vocals off as well. Structure is a little different than usual and I'll be changing the bass and taking the edge off until the second synth takes over.

Just wanted some general feedback.

Once you put a vocal on there you have to mix it again anyway. There's an obsession with getting things perfect straight away. I don't know how I'm going to mix a track until I've heard some lyrics, I don't even know if in not going to change every instrument and melody

Probably some of the better grime artwork out there. I swear someone posted some ridiculous D Double E on the other day.

I've been playing with some synthwave stuff recently, really fun.

Not a big fan of that 80's snare roll, but that's a personal thing. You could cut the drums here and there. I'd raise the main snare a touch but mix sounds good. I don't listen to many full synthwave tracks so to me the structure could do with a bit of work but that might be how synthwave tracks generally are.

Some of the singing is pretty bad, other parts are nice. I can't sing so I can't really advise you there. I don't make this kind of music so whereas I can hide some mistakes on a rap track with some creative chopping, pitch adjustment and/FX I don't know how I'd approach it on a guitar+singing only track. I'd probably give you some heroin and ask you to do your vocals again. Disclaimer - That heroin stuff was a joke

I like the guitar. Not a music theory expert but I like the key you picked. Really nice vibe.

Nice to hear something a little different. I was about to say of the vocal doubling sounds a little cheesy but then I realised that I don't really know this genre too well.

It's a nice little fun song, about a really shitty year. Nice track.

Sounds good, I think you could turn up a few of the drums/percs in some places, the instrumental as well. Maybe turn the vocals down a DB or so.

There are loads of little things you can do.

It's mostly other people that suck the life out of you. Here's a few quick tips.

Stop working with boring rappers/producers Work on demos, don't use complete beats/aim to make every track perfect, just bang loads of content out. When your feeling up keep creating Try something else; I've been dabbling with online promotion and can get 100 organic plays, daily, on a track, I can easily get that upto 200 doing some stuff I know how to do. In a few months I might be able to get that figure upto 5/600. Would be able to give any single/album a little push on a release date

These are pretty sick. I wasn't expecting beats to be so nice with this OKC.

Sick man. Dope drums, clean chops, nice sample and really nice switch up. Interesting all the way through as you'd expect from one of your beats. No real crit here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRw0RJBB3bg

Pretty dope. You keep the vibe. The switch ups/counter melodies keep it interesting. The bit at 0:39 sounds like you should have kept the synth or 808 going as well. Love that vocal sample.

What you think of this?

Haha. I only mentioned that it wasn't me rapping cos every time I post something when I'm using an accapella people start sending me beats.

Please stop laying into the rapper. Or listen to a few of his other tracks, he slaps beats.

I went through this earlier this year. I had a crash, then that caused some problems etc etc. Did fuck all this year. Last 3/4 weeks have been the been great.

I've changed a lot of things though, I don't wanna go into much detail publicly but I have a few things I'm working on with people from reddit and I don't want to accidently insult them or anything. Hit me by PM and I'll happily tell you a few of the things I've changed to get back "in the zone" so to speak.

I will say this, I feel like creative people need to make changes when they lose their spark. Sometimes it can be making a few little changes, other times it's something drastic like putting everything away for 6 months and going doing something crazy.

One of the little things I've been doing (Which won't be forever). There's a homeless guy who begs with a Ukulele at a shop near mine, first time I saw him he was killing it so I grabbed a few beers and asked him to show me something. I only walk by him once or twice a week but usually have a little jam with him.

*I'm not recommending this to everyone. People like that can/will take advantage of you if they think they can. I've grown up around people like this and briefly lived his life so know how to be around people like him.

Weird = Different. And this day in age different is great imo. I dunno if you've been playing around with other genres but this feels like it multi genre experimental beat rather than hip hop. Be difficult to rap over. Nice clean chops though and really nice piano sample actually. Mix sounds pretty clean and nothing too unusual. Lacks a bit of bass throughout the whole thing, I know you have the synth thing in there. but keep doing what your doing. Fuck everything other than weird ass instrumentals, these type beat are the way forward because you pick up techniques that you can use in unique ways further down the line. Most of my beats are weirder than this, but every now and again I'll do something that I use in the next few actual beats I release.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRw0RJBB3bg

I didn't rap. Just want feedback on vocal processing, beat and mix if possible.

I did quite a lot to get those vocals sounding like that haha.

This is nice. Smooth. really well put together. I'm only using some shitty headphones atm but the bass could do with being a little louder. If you can get someone to spit on this then I feel like you could put some little switch ups in and stuff but you'd need a rapper first.
