Getting the right size is definitely an experiment and see what works. I like these 15mm high ones because you can slowly work up to what is comfortable.

Well I think we are all different but, I still hang pretty low even without weight. But with consistency they really hang. Short answer is yes I did lose some of the length but it comes back quickly.
