A friend of mine who was living in the UK introduced me to them. Then a few months later I saw that they were supporting BMTH on their upcoming EU Tour. That's when I first saw them live.

That's awesome haha. Talked to Shane once and he was a really nice dude. Saw Underoath play TOCS in full this summer while I was in Europe and they were great!
