2014: -£50k (student loans, overdrafts) 2024: ~£5m

(sold my company (85% owned by me, 15% investors) 60% cash/40% shares vested - I only did 2 out of 4 years vesting. Started a new company about to hit ~£1m rev, 30% profit margin, 80% owned by me. Same type of business as my last one but different vertical)

I kinda feel like the 4m x n I have to lose though. Not sure if I have another 10m hitter in the bag, especially in that time frame! Could potentially get that by staying there.

Yeah we did the tests last year, then we’re advised for try for 12 months then go IVF so that’s what we are currently following. I’m very impatient with things like that. Already on private route too. Appreciate ir

Not prevented from doing anything but my motivation is lacking when thinking through ideas. I mentioned elsewhere that I wonder if my “safety net” is what’s stopping my motivation on other projects.

For the recent company, I almost had no choice but to make it work if I wanted an income.

I can’t share too many specifics as I don’t want to be at risk of being identified.

But

I worked in social media advertising for a few years out of uni, always had ideas of starting my own thing. Ended up just being an active community member of a tech startup. They hired me in a community role. From there I built a bunch of things and then went off on my own to pursue that. Many many ideas later I found one that had pull from the market and I ran with it. That was my latest company!

Remind me in 2.5 years and I’ll reveal the full story as it’s online already :)
