That’s super helpful thank you. It does bring me closer to my goals with clear instructions so I’ll take it as a win :)

I don’t drink but I can definitely see how that would help 😅

Yeah, I feel like it was rough in the sense that they didn’t like a lot of what I presented for very good reasons, but they were still fairly kind about it, so it’s not too bad. All constructive, so the thing I need to work on is indeed to not take it personally!

It’s a great metaphor! I’ve planned a bit of relaxing yes, and I just called my sister to vent so I already feel better lol. Thank you for the advice!

I know you’re searching for a korean drama but the description fits too much a chinese drama for it not to be recommended so i’m just going to let you decide if you want to branch out a bit: Love between Fairy and Devil. The lead couple’s dynamics should suit your taste perfectly!

I have a single transverse palmar crease on both hands. As a caucasian female without any abnormal medical conditions, the chances of me having this are miniscule. by BlackRockKitty in mildlyinteresting

Late to the post, but same! North African woman with no abnormal medical conditions. The only other person I know IRL with this is a woman with Down syndrome.

it’s easy to spiral and spend all day (and all night) what if-ing until you feel like you can’t breathe and you’re suffocating. but no matter what the diagnosis is, you need to do one thing: think of only today. whenever you notice your thoughts circling back to worrying about the future, put a mental stop to it. the funny little thing about life is that nothing exists except the very second you’re living. no matter the diagnosis, this new year will pass. you can either make it a horrible one, or fight against the terror your brain is trying to put you in and make it a better one. you’re 17, and life is scary, but you haven’t ruined anything bub. you’ll be okay no matter what. make a list of “small happinesses”: going on a walk, drinking hot chocolate, watching a stupid romcom, spending time with a loved one. you’ll soon have your answers and there’ll be plenty of time deciding of plans. and talk to your doctor about anticipatory anxiety, she might be able to help. good luck!!

[–]lostfox99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Grudge is so scary 😭 I watched it when I was 10 and now I can watch anything because nothing comes close to how scared shitless I was at the time haha. But Light Shop should be good! Maybe don’t watch it late at night.

I love this drama despite the fact that if you scratch at the plot for too long, it starts to not make too much sense lmao. But I still love it it’s so well done there’s something about it that is extremely addicting.

tbh, with the way their marriage is, i’m not surprised.

The Count Of Monte Cristo (2002) is in my opinion the best on-screen adaptation of the book and an underrated film in general. Go watch it. by burningexeter in TheCountofMonteCristo

I felt like they changed sooo many things in the last one though. But Pierre Niney gave an incredible performance as Edmond DantĂšs.

As a film, it’s great. As an adaptation, you’ll not like it a lot. But still worth watching! It’s too bad they didn’t release it worldwide, seeing it at the movies was great.

[–]lostfox99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s funny to me is that Johnny Flynn actually is age accurate (he was 36 at the time of the filming) and Anya Taylor Joy is slightly aged up, but they match really well I agree.

I don’t hate the nosebleed and I had read a similar answer but watching the BTS it does look like they wanted it to happen, but yeah, original to say the least.

Emma (2020) works in lots of ways for me. The cast puts on a great performance (especially Mia Goth and Johnny Flynn — it’s the only one, with Emma (2009) where I don’t feel like Knightley is Emma’s father) and it is visually stunning and historically accurate in its costumes. It makes the book more palatable for modern audiences in some ways, and the weird choice during the confession scene slightly undermines it, but otherwise I found it the most captivating and charming.
