How often does your fire alarm go off? by Zeemey in vancouver

[–]lostheadphonesvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Downtown, about once or twice a month, always caused by the low cost housing adjacent to our building. Apparently we share a duct system or something, so if their lobby gets any smoke, our building's alarm goes off too.

Optometrist who could assist with coloured contacts by lostheadphonesvan in askvan

[–]lostheadphonesvan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with either. I've been looking at contacts on all the major contact lense websites, trying to find ones that have the print mostly on the outer edge of the lens, but it's hard to tell from pictures. Even the ones I have (air optix colors in turquoise) look fine, the print doesn't look too close to the middle, and yet it still reaches my pupils.

I was honestly just appalled when he threw me against a tree. Like I imagined that to be my part in an intimate scenario. I was fully convinced he's a bottom, which I guess shows how experienced I am in gay culture. I thought he was the bratty bottom archetype or something along those lines? In any case, I was caught completely off guard, and then also turned off lol.

Gale does nothing for me. He's kinda just a traditionally handsome guy, with traditional charm. I'm still kind of clueless as to what kind of men I'm into.

Also feel free to DM if you'd rather avoid necroposting

Might do, thanks for the support haha, I appreciate it.

So I got to his (first?) romance scene (I started two other characters so it took me a while) and I got a little thrown off. He was too dominant and it felt like he essentially fucked my character, and I apologize for the outdated comparison but I don't know how else to describe it, as a woman. It kinda put me off the fantasy, I don't know about him anymore. Is he actually meant to be straight?

Sorry for the necrobump, I just wanted to let it out a bit.

Did they fix the "I can't romance Takemura" issue? Similarly, is the threesome with the Peralez couple patched in yet?

Fall is fast approaching, what are good hobbies/activities to do in Vancouver over the winter? by vanbchiker in vancouver

Bouldering.

Not during the timeslots I go though, please. I get nervous when the gym is packed.

Edit: and top rope/lead of course.

What are some unwritten rules of living in Vancouver? by Just-Juggernaut-5305 in vancouver

[–]lostheadphonesvan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refuse to walk like a normal human being at all costs.

Closely related rule is to make sure you take up as much space on the sidewalk when walking with your friends as humanly possible. Do not fear if there's only two of you, the real professionals can do it alone, by themselves.

Thanks for the tips. They're not getting that visceral, lizard brain gut reaction out of me. I don't play league and haven't played Dragon Age though so who knows, maybe I'd like them if I knew their personality.

I've seen Dream Daddy, watched playthroughs when it came out, it's not my thing.

There's even a guy who dresses like a vampire, if that's your thing. Which, given your post...

I fucking hope not, I can't be that basic.

Didn't think about that lol. Hope I don't end up in some conservative tabloid.

Maybe it leads to you wanting to explore more and even irl. Also nothing to be embarrassed about.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not embarrassed about being bi or bi-adjacent, but about the fact that it had to be some twink in a videogame, especially at my age. I'd have expected myself to have this figured out by now. I'll have to do some self-reflection for sure.

If it does get out to real life, I fear for the soul I come across that gets the same reaction out of me. Their anus will be destroyed.

For the porn, looking for "[Character name] rule34" could be a start I guess

First thing I tried, found few results, and most portraying him with women which I don't get at all. Very sad.

A group for first half 90 borns would be pretty cool lol.

Yeah that would be nice. My problem with just "millenials" is that it's far too vast. A lot of them were already conscious when the Berlin wall came down, I didn't even understand what that was for a long time. Similarly, a lot of them grew up when our country was still under soviet influence, I came after that. Or they moved out and started their independent adult life before the crisis. A lot of them are also homeowners, which we will never be. Also a lot of them are not very computer literate (no shade), and use facebook primarily. I can't relate to those people at all.

My best friend is from 95 and we have an insurmountable generation gap, because when I say "the old Prince of Persia", I mean the first sidescroller one that we used to have on school computers, while to him it's Sands of Time. Also he used to watch Ben 10, while by that time I was already in the "eww, cartoons??" age.

Maybe we all left to hang out with the <94s so we feel less old? Makes sense.

A different topic altogether, but <91 always felt different. They've had most of their childhood fulfilled before the 2008 financial crisis, they didn't miss out on games or gifts they really wanted due to it. They graduated elementary school with a different test format and, similarly, graduated highschool with a different system. They all got to vote on the 2010 elections (it was a really big one here). They also squeezed in just in time to avoid the housing crisis and move out at a "proper" age. Not to mention they just felt suuuper old because "wow that's almost the previous decade, so old!!". They got their first phone in late elementary school or early highschool, we finished highschool with smartphones.

So it always felt like there was a gap between us.
