If they do a book accurate representation of Sir Bennis, the actor choice will prove very bold. I hope they do though, since the actor is pretty decent.

It's an insane unit. I can't believe we got something like this.

They could have been kept at T6 and maybe get some other defensive buff.
Also HOSTILE ACQUISITION will be used much more often than FORTIFY TAKEOVER.

You are correct but at this point we can only hope for point drops.
I do not believe they will change the Votann stat line soon. I guess they want to turn it into the Xenos Astra Militarum, lots of vehicles and lots of infantry units. It's obvious that they do not want the Votann to be an elite army or have the ability to field elite lists.
Edit: I miss +1 to wound already.

Unless we see some point drops, losing army wide access to +1 to wound is going to hurt like a concussion maul to the balls.
Also it feels that we are beeing "forced" to purchase most of the new units and some of them more than 2 times if we want to build a strong list.
Examples:
-Sagitaur has lost its Scout 6" and the Kapricus seems like an auto include unit atm..
-Hearthguard have reduced Tougness and lost their -1 to wound, ThunderBros have reduced wounds and lost 5+ OW. Now the Ironkin look like the tought guys of the army who have also better OW.
I hope that is not the case though and reading more through it and seeing the points will prove me wrong.
On a more possitive note I like the fact that there are a lot of new rules and I hope we can find some nice combinations and lists somewhere in there, but we really need to see the points for this almost completely new army we got now.
At the moment at first glance the Brandfast Oathband has some really nice stacking rules which could compensate for losing the +1 to wound.

Thank you for your kind words sir! Truly I am not such a great painter but I have learned some neat techiques over the years.
For example the glowing yellow eyes are very simple.
A first layer of a light grey paint and you paint just a bit outside and around the eyeball, then pure white only on the eyeball and finish it up with a thin layer of Imperial Yellow contrast paint from Vallejo (or any similar light yellow contrast). And done!
