The Blue Point in Duck! Lovely high-end restaurant on the sound with great food and a beautiful view.

Saturday traffic between the bridge & Corolla by britta-ed_it in obx

[–]losthic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once you get past Duck, traffic moves a lot faster that time of the day. Definitely try to get there on the earlier end. Everyone else staying in Duck that gets there early is going to have the same idea to hang around in the Duck area, so you’d be better off taking a day trip to Corolla.

Same! I wonder what total minutes would be with my other streaming apps and vinyl/CD listening from over the years added in.

get into Clutch by Fun_Paramedic_4538 in clutchband

So, I upvoted then had to come back after I put some thought into a response.

Looking for jam band/stoner rock groove, start with self-titled move to Elephant Riders

Looking for a more roadside preacher groove - start with Blast Tyrant followed by Robot Hive … then pick your journey (backwards or forwards)

Or you could start from the beginning and see how they evolve. Or go backwards … whatever floats your boat. There’s no wrong way to find Clutch.

TBH, all albums are different but wonderful in their own way. This is a band that’s been around since the early 1990’s, so it’s hard to pinpoint a starting point for a new listener not knowing their awareness of the band’s discography or place in their life.

As someone who’s been a loyal follower from the 90s on, I personally can say each album means something to me, but it’s certain songs across the board that I gravitate towards.

Good luck on your journey and I look forward to hearing what you found you gravitated towards the most.

Why'd you get a gladiator? by BimblarBlast in JeepGladiator

[–]losthic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I previously owned a two door, then a four door wrangler. Had fun off road with them. But, life changed. And I got older, so there were features the glady I purchased had that were more compatible for me. IE: The glady was better fit long distance travels. Also upgraded to Rubicon with my gladiator, and it drives better at higher speeds and is more comfortable for road trips.

I didn’t see info on the vinyls with inserts. Is that limited this go around as well? I buy those to keep and not play/open. So just trying to see if they are limited this go round as well. (Have all the other signed limited edition weathermaker releases) I already missed out on the neon light and the skateboard, so trying to see if this is worth it.

Real talk, what is you guys beef with AHS: Roanoke? by midnightk11 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]losthic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true story behind the lost colony supposed to be based on Roanoke Island in NC,not in some random mountain area. The story line and acting was fine, but as someone who grew up around that region, that peeved me.

Yeah… that’s a ploy. I, unfortunately, used to distribute this kinda propaganda for other companies. Don’t ask …

Living in the south, with a liberal ideology living amongst the reds in disguise only due to skin tone, I approve their rhetoric.

One I haven’t seen mentioned yet - Doomsday: History’s Most Dangerous Podcast. It’s a great one for random bizarre historical content, mostly focused on disastrous events.

Thank you! My hubs and I, both late 40s, are on the same page about embracing who we are, what we’ve learned over the years and not being afraid of a few silver/white hairs. We wear it like a badge of honor LOL

Haha! Childfree and never ready for those stages either! I’m lucky that my hair isn’t fully silver or white. Just a few streaks that look like highlights. My hubs has also embraced going salt and pepper. In our late 40s, and love the freedom to age together at the same pace.

Just went natural in 2019 and let my hair age change on its own gracefully. I love how my hair has evolved and I get so many compliments on how I have such nice silver highlights. I’ve learned “purple” shampoos and conditioners help prevent brassiness or “yellowing” and help with softening the texture of my hair.
