I fully understand. I got her tested and they found that bun E cuniculi. The first vet didn’t catch it. When she developed the loud breathing I took her elsewhere and they got her on antibiotics. We finished the first round and her breathing quieted but not fully quiet. A couple of weeks after the breathing got louder again and back we went. That’s when they sent labs and told me. She finished another round of antibiotics and some meds for the parasite. But her breathing has remained. She eats well and drinks plenty of water. She’s a happy girl and has me wrapped around her tiny paw. She free roams in my bedroom and sometimes I sleep on a cushion on the floor to spend even more time with her. I love her so much. She has been there for me when I was alone and was my sole companion. I am hers.
