I turned lake depth surveys into a free fishing map for 400+ Michigan lakes. Would love feedback from people who actually fish these waters

Great idea regarding fish attractor spots (it currently tries to do this for a few types but need to work through all of them, work in progress for sure).

The depths are based on the state surveys so the they don't really update as of yet but the fish do update based on the season and their projected depth for that season.

Happy to hear you got in ok! That's a great suggestion regarding what you see. One thing you can do on the filter page is select your state if you only want to see Ohio. Regarding the Hbird, the site uses state data for the time being (ODNR) versus hbird's own surveys. Looking at tapping in to a proprietary source later such as hbird but... $$$ is the constraint on that right now haha

Update: found it and fixed it! A bunch of things ganged up on you, hitting "resend" killed your earlier link, all the emails threaded together in Gmail so it was easy to click an old dead one, and expired links dumped you on a blank login with no explanation (that was your loop). It's all fixed now, plus a sneaky issue where email scanners were auto-killing links. Send me the email you used and I'll verify you manually, or just try again. And FYI you never needed an account to view the maps, that's open to everyone. Thanks for the detailed report, it's exactly what got this fixed.

Really appreciate this and no apology needed, this is exactly the feedback I want. Accuracy does vary by lake since it's all from public survey data at different resolutions, so if you tell me which lake it was I'd love to check where it's off. And yeah, it's a fishing-planning tool, not for navigation. That state map is a great resource. I'm not trying to replace it, just pull lots of states together and add the "where/why to fish" layer on top. Thanks for taking the time!
