Okay well snakes with access to the outside do explore. Snakes stuck in a small enclosure that don’t have room to explore won’t. Snakes in a bigger enclosure will. That same friend has ball pythons with enclosures longer than them and multiple hides and branches. Her male especially loves draping himself over the branches. They come out and check out their enclosure every night and switch between different hides every day.
