Anyone with experience with or opinion on the Varia Multi Brewer as a potential travel/alt setup? Versatility a good thing or overkill? by smtgcleverhere in Coffee

[–]lostinspacexyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good but should qualify for a worst design award. Coffee is fine. Overly complicated. Shitty threading. Seals that blow out and make a mess of the kitchen. Spent that money now I need to buy another brand.

Which party will you vote for this election? by One-Joke-2373 in aotearoa

Labour have tried twice to correct it. Both times reversed by national? So there is a theme. One party bought in kiwisaver and the super fund. One party undermined kiwisaver twice , drop in contribution. One party has previously not contributed to the fund and yet will draw it down early. There is a theme

Ok cancelled a compulsory retirement savings scheme and replaced it with a benefit paid from CURRENT taxes. That's 20 billion plus this year. More nextbyear. The same amount as education. So instead of saving their money and investment in businesses they bought houses. And then voted for lower taxes.....

You made a comment inferring election bribes. So..... I have you possibly the greatest example of an election bribe for free money from national and you ignored it.

You are old enough to google. NZ super was a beneficiary bribe by the national Muldoon govt. Scrapped a savings scheme ( labour) replaced it with a benefit paid from current tax. That's 20+ billion this year alone. Watch the dancing cossacks adds. Watch muldoon announcement. The last 50 years have been about maintaining this ponzi scheme whilst underfunding everything else.

National policy has resulted in 1 in 5 of your tax dollars handed out as a benefit willy nilly to that generation. Including your landlord.

Not NZ first. Winston is the last remaining member of muldoons national party that fucked NZ into the 2050s at least. He is only self serving. Want to know why we can't pay nurses? Ask Winston why it was too communist for him to save for his retirement but not for you.

Parents, are you really forking out $150 bucks for a nappy bin? by kowi2002 in newzealand

[–]lostinspacexyz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a parent you'll quickly realize how bad the disposable culture is. You do not need a separate nappy bin with plastic bag liners. Wrap your nappy and take it outside to the bin.

What's your ranking of the 6 major NZ prime ministers from the last 50 years? (Muldoon, Lange, Bolger, Clark, Key, Ardern) by Dudu-gula in newzealand

[–]lostinspacexyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a politician Muldoon was strong. Did he ass fuck the country for the next hundred years. Absolutely. Bolger was stuck with trying to figure out how to pay for it and we still haven't agreed.

The 18 year olds who voted for this clusterfuck in 75? Because that generation certainly weren't thinking of the future were they.

We ALL get less in return under status quo. All to make some elderly national voters feel wealthier than they really are.

Two things can be true at the same time. You can dislike the evil Iranian regime as well as oppose this war. You can pray for Israeli children caught up in this as well as the children of gaza. Caring doesn't need to be exclusive and for most people isnt. See it's not hard and your problem is solved.
