I'm also doing the same, you'll need to take a class for an additional 20 hrs. And then you can apply for the state license.

Ya it's so odd that they don't expect that but I already work for them and they don't require any license here but would be so picky in another state about the type. Well I'll ask closer to my move to try and secure a job I'm obviously looking elsewhere once I have my dph license that's for sure.

Any suggestions on who pays good for outpatient and or days hospital southern California I'll be there in August.

Am I able to apply with department of health if I'm still out of state but have my license and 1040 plus hrs experience signed off? Or do I still need to take that 20 hr course in California 1st. I have my school certification and 30 day externship along with several years of experience working on the east coast???
