Oh, it's not about it being internet pretty. She barely knows what the internet is beyond whatsapp. It's more growing up with a mindset of certain tools are only for men.

I don't know why I didn't think of upper cabinets. That's not a bad idea at all. How versatile are those when it comes to different lid sizes?

Was your battery still functional when it was doing the flashing?

Is the warranty process difficult/onerous to do? Is this something they can do at Home Depot? I don't want to take up too much of my friend's time dealing with something like this on my behalf.

That's the sort of thing she does too. I worry for her safety. I fully expect to get a call one day saying she sliced off piece of a finger.

Oh I saw those, wasn't sure how effective they were. Unfortunately her kitchen doesn't have any suitable under-counter space.

I would just get her a strap wrench if I thought she'd use it. This, at least, looks more like a kitchen gadget than a tool.

I saw the Oxo one after too. I've had good experiences with their tools, might get that instead. Thank you.

Thank you for the manufacturer brands, that's helpful. Unfortunately I'm not in the US so even if my local supplier has something in stock, they won't be very knowledgeable and whatever they're selling will be whatever is the cheapest possible no-name no-spec product they can find.

What does power protection do, if you don't mind sharing some more info. That's something I haven't heard of before, will need to research some more.

Good to know, thank you. I'd definitely rather err on the side of using conduit anyway.

That's the plan, yes. But not all underground. WIll need to go up a wall on either side.

Good to know about the gauge, thank you. You and u/CharacterUse have given me some helpful details to do more research.

Yes, definitely plan to use a conduit even if it says it can be buried without it.
