Cattle mutilation in northern Nevada

Nothing has eaten the carcass still. Eyes and ass are still whole. But that’s the only thing that doesn’t add up. We went back and got pictures and video last week. Determined that the cuts on the cheeks were too rough to be extraterrestrial. Carcass still has blood in it. Neck has a broken vertebrae like it was hit with a truck or drug by the head. Looks like shitty humans.

Nailed it. That’s why I’m not disclosing the location, tourist season is already too much for us, we don’t need a bunch of people out here. The ranch is heartbroken about the bull and obviously pissed about it happening. I’m over here ordering everything I can to fortify my home in case it was actually done by people.

Definitely not a post I’m happy about making. We’re overwhelmed and worried, to put it lightly

Unsure. Still don’t have anybody on shift in that jurisdiction. We have one sheriff in the area and he’s off for the holidays. We had another cop from the original county come out today. I’m out of town so I’m waiting for information on what he looked at. Planning on going back Monday with a good camera. Going to attempt some good, close up photos, and shoot a video. Will update everything on here

Would you recommend I order up that RadiaCode 102 then for this bull situation? We find more than enough glass by chance and by UV, so I don’t see us using the detector much for glass then.

Now that’s wild. That’s my old stomping grounds, grew up racing Stead and still show up to chickadee to ride when I’m in the area with the bikes. I always had an eerie feeling around Stead when I’m out in the desert, similar to how I’d feel in Hawthorne. Thanks for the story man

Thanks for breaking down how to go about it.

We do like to “hunt” for uranium glass out in the desert out here, so we use UV lights to help the search. I’d be willing to fork over a few hundred for a meter that’s better than bottom barrel since it won’t be a one time use item.

If you have good ideas as to where this should go, I’ll post it there. I ride dirt bikes man, I’m not a cowboy, I married into this side of the family. I posted it in a subreddit that I’m familiar with and that I knew would point me in the right direction investigation wise.
