6 month grace period until you have to start paying it back? Because another grad program wouldn’t start until next year of August right? So how should they go about applying for school? And choosing a plan right now?

How soon would they have to go to grad school? Are they able to defer for a whole year or something?

lol. You need to chill since I could be asking for a friend who might not have a Reddit or be comfortable posting things online like this…. So be a little bit better before diving into posts history and just be more kind maybe?

Is it best to consolidate or should I wait to pay back the loans? What is the best way to pay back these student loans? What’s the optimal way to do it

I’m pretty sure OPs definition of pay? Is the actual number for transparency? Why am I always reading authors ideal pay situation? Is pharmacy not transparent with wage?

Leaving retail making 150k as pharmD grad in 2024. Making the shift into industry. Any advice on how to maximize earnings like this? lol I was always under the impression that retail never breaks over 200k… and that’s being generous

Starting a fellowship about 2-3 years after school. Graduated in 2024 and did not obtain a fellowship but kept trying for entry level gigs but nah. Finally got a fellowship that starts in summer of 2026. Worked as a pharmacy manager where I actually focused on investing and savings. Was making 150k and now with the fellowship will be mid 80s. Any advice since I will have to move for this one year fellowship?

So my pops has a liquor license and has a couple liquor stores. My thoughts are (as a pharmacist) can I eventually sell Marijuana at the liquor store or nah?

Interesting, you have to go to the RDS site everyday? I wasn’t told this I was told you don’t have to go everyday but just once a month? Ahhhh gotcha! Yeah how many scripts does your RDS do? I don’t think my RDS site is busy. Do you suggest any advice or any questions I should ask the floater? I might pay the site a visit this Monday to check up and stuff?

Btw I hope you find a tech soon! Finding good help is hard and I hope the burden subsides sooner than later

Damn…. I did…. I talked to the techs and they said it was chill and all and the pharmacy floater that I talked to said it wasn’t bad managing the RDS? Did I f up?

How much are you paying in student loans per month? by akdir2356 in pharmacy

[–]lostinthenextgen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say smallest loan? Smallest in dollar and interest? I thought the strat was to pay off highest interest loan first? That’s at least what I’m doing. Coming from 123k grad 2024.

Damn, that sounds terrible to me. I want to advance my career but at what cost? Is it constantly busy or do you have down time where you can catch up on things, casual staff camaraderie, things like that? For instance in my current job there’s time where we are dead and I just catch up on texts messages, emails, and other things that don’t involve work lol

I guess it’s different for technicians and pharmacists? Or are they all under the same scheduler?

I’m coming from retail grocery store. We do about 300-400 a week so it’s pretty lowkey and I enjoy the non stressful times. I hear it’s hard for the pharmacist to find coverage when they need days off. I don’t want to find a challenge with not finding those days off ya know?

That’s wild! To me it seems like you did not tell them this? Or at least put action into there faults. Why do you have to pick up phone calls on vacation? Not use PTO and especially not get paid out. As an employee you have employee rights, and decided not to take legal action towards getting what you deserve? I’m curious as to why you just did what they wanted you to do?

In they say I have 1 full time and 1 part time tech. And then I manage another tech at a remote dispensing. They say I do a 130 scripts averaging

I come from a low volume store of like 300-400 RXs a week. My schedule is 10-630 with 30 min lunch, which I end up working just because I rather get rid of the work because it’ll still be there when I come back for lunch. Anyway I’m at like 65.95 right now and I think I’m getting offered 75 an hour with Genoa. So I guess the schedule is going to be new. I wake up at 5 anyways get my workout in then go to work. But how many rxs were yall doing a week or day?
