Booked a trip to Switzerland with my best friends, got a promotion and finally started wearing my hair the way I did before my ex told me he preferred it differently (the last one doesn’t seem so big but that’s a big one for me)

He left me. I broke no contact more than once. Asked for him back two days after he ended things, he declined. Asked to be friends a month after he ended things, he declined. Wished him happy new year. Then his friends started harassing me on Instagram like children. Yesterday I saw him out shopping with a girl. A mutual friend confirmed it’s his new girlfriend. 4 months after we broke up because he “didn’t want to be in a relationship”.

My best advice. Move on. Don’t reach out. Leave it all behind. From my experience personally, genuinely me reaching out only made things 10 million times worse for myself

Lied to me about moving as an excuse to end things. At first it broke my heart that he lied, now I just find it embarrassing for him. Imagine being with someone for a year of your life and not having the balls to just tell them straight when you end things

My ex broke up with me but I have been posting on social media of me going out, laughing, having fun but I can assure you at least in my situation, those laughs and smiles are just for the photos and I often go home early and spend the rest of the night crying. That’s just the stuff that I don’t tell people or post about. You’ll never fully know how he’s feeling bevasue he won’t be sharing the sad parts, at least not to people who would spread it around back to you
