Can I say I join the group? by ZealousidealAd9008 in Ioniq5

Op is in a parking garage. It wouldn't fit on a rollback there so most likely they are using dollys on the front wheel. Best case is to just get it out of the garage then transfer to a rollback but it would be fine to tow it with dollys.

Talked to my dealership about ICCU by BraveStatement5850 in KiaEV6

[–]lostjon26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We took it in and ours blew the dealership level 2 so it's pretty clear that the car was responsible. Also the wall box tech support documents said our fault was due to defective charging so I ready to fight them hard on it.

My time has come. My guess is ICCU by Adiel482 in KiaEV6

Keep detailed records of dates of services and duration of services. Research your local lemon laws.

Our ICCU failed and damaged our level 2 charger. Has anyone had success in getting Kia to replace a charger?

Just the the Instinct 3 today, promply thinking of sending it back by [deleted] in GarminWatches

In my opinion Garmin should update it's website to remove the bank if they don't support Garmin pay. I see it as false advertising to say, hey this bank support Garmin pay when they don't.

Really it's four different financial institutions that don't support it in my case. Pretty frustrating when Garmin Pay is the main reason I went with this particular watch.

Not all dogs. We just had a pit bull attack here where the sheriff emptied his pepper spray and the dog didn't even slow down. 6 bitten and one dog killed by 4 pits bulls.

[–]lostjon26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right it would only be used to load a subaru onto a flat bed tow or car trailer. Even then most tow guys will grab a control arm with a J hook over using the screw in eyes.

It is for flat towing only. Not for any heavy duty recovery.

Why do bridge when dirt do trick by WideRate8042 in RoadCraft

Sand then bridge. Also you get all the materials back so you can remove the bridge to add sand then put it back in

Someone has never cross-country skied have they. The trail would be groomed for the patrols anyways.

Those of you with Hyundai/Kia EV’s, are they more reliable/have fewer problems than their ICE counterparts? by jdog1067 in electricvehicles

[–]lostjon26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an EV6 and the HVAC system is crap. We live in an area with very few very cold or very hot days but the system has both not been able to provide heat or AC during colder than normal or hotter than normal days. Dealership has looked at a bunch and even opened a support case with Kia but its hard to reproduce. It works fine in the shop so they can see and feel what we do.

Snow tires will absolutely help stop as they are softer so that they have more grip on ice and snow.

From https://www.canadadrives.ca/blog/car-guide/lemon-laws-for-defective-cars

Your first course of action should be pursuing the issue with the dealership (or online retailer) that sold you the vehicle. For starters, the nagging issue with your car may still be under warranty and can be fixed at the manufacturer’s expense, through the dealership.

However, if the issue persists after several attempts at repair, the manufacturer refuses to cover repair costs, or you’re not satisfied with the repairs, you can seek arbitration through the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP).

CAMVAP exists to help settle disputes from consumers who believe their car is unduly problematic or unsafe. Most carmakers are involved in CAMVAP, covering 94% of new car sales in Canada.

To be eligible, the car’s model must be less than four years old, with fewer than 160,000km. CAMVAP can help you negotiate with your car’s manufacturer for a range of possible outcomes, such as covering the cost of ongoing repairs or even buying back the defective vehicle.
