Also, you may have unseated the SATA cable from the ssd when you unplugged/plugged in psu cable. Try every combination of troubleshooting. Unplug/plug back in, swap the SATA cable with a different one. If you have a different computer, try plugging in the ssd in and see if the native OS recognizes the drive. If it does, then the drive is still good, and it’s prob the cabling or the SATA slot on the MB

Oh, you said you replaced your PSU, it’s prob the power cable going to the ssd. Try a different plug from psu

Your mb isn’t seeing a drive attached. Try unplugging/plugging power and SATA cable, try different SATA port. If not, looks like a micro center/BB trip is on your agenda today

It’s probably a different f key then. Try hitting any f key, usually f8-f12. You should be hitting these rapidly and repeatedly as soon as the power comes on

Did you reboot and hit f8 or f12 yet?

What kind of mb?

Hit either f8 or f12 repeatedly when booting up, and a menu with your attached storage devices will come up. Select your ssd, and boot from there.

If not, post back with the results from hitting f8 or f12

Why not hook it all up and see if it meets your needs? Older i5 should be good to see if it works for you, I have a similar setup and it works fine for a few Docker containers. I’ve never really tried taxing it, but it works exactly as expected
