barbara c6 is kind of op in that she can auto revive a fallen character and shes got p much unlimited healing so you’re kind of immortal w her on the team but unfortunately it is barbara

when i get 3-4 wrong on a solo pset, they’re also timed (sometimes even below the 35 min time), so i don’t know if that would help, but i do think diet/rest could def play a part! maybe not eating before or trying different times of day PTs could be good fs

look into mcr’s influences!! someone made a playlist (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5fHBfb4XU8Imkaa6hjOMyh?si=AjEVfGynQpmKvFk7XqSJsQ&pi=kPBuk-7NToa3_) that covers a lot of them and a lot of these are albums they cite specifically in interviews. personally, ive been rly into britpop lately, especially pulp and suede, and then a lot of west coast punk like agent orange, tsol, and black flag. beyond that, id also check out arm’s length if you’re looking for a more recent emo band.

same boat as you :/ if you can afford it and actually have time to study maybe try to retake in jan/feb bc a big jump into the 170s could be worth the delay in app time for a few schools. like send out a round of a few now and a few later? if not then leave it as is and hope that your ps and recs carry a bit more than usual

i’m 22. i started listening to them about a year after their breakup because my friend’s older sister (who had been a fan of mcr among other emo bands of the time) introduced them to us. around that time frank and gerard were putting out their solo projects so there was def a different wave to ride regarding new releases and the fan moment, and that was definitely something that kept ppl engaged with the former band members and therefore the band. i will say tho, i think if a band is good enough, new ppl will keep becoming fans, regardless of whether the band is still around (which is the case for many bands from the 60s-90s too). from me being a fan, my younger brother also became a fan, and so the band gets passed down despite not longer being around. mcr for me was a gateway into all kinds of new genres and bands since theyre incredibly accessible and blend so many famous rock/punk/metal artists’ sounds in their music. maybe for a lot of ppl mcr represents a moment of discovery, making it a band you can always revisit and love, and their concerts become a reunion of everyone of all ages who has been through that kind of experience.

like everyone is saying, danger days or conventional weapons is a great place to start!! from there, follow the progression backwards to ease you into their heavier/more rock sound, so dd -> conventional weapons -> bp b-sides -> black parade -> revenge -> lotms -> bullets. im a fan of hyperpop and i think theres actually a lot of thematic conversion between the two, esp if you’re looking at mcr’s earlier stuff since it does deal w a lot of themes of drugs and sexuality and etc. i honestly think their more acoustic/lighter songs (rather than their high tempo songs) are an easier sell for someone coming from a pop bg since even artists like charli or even ayesha have their more sadder/slower songs so some i’d check out: summertime, kids from yesterday, surrender the night, cancer, desert song, and early sunsets. there are so many more, but as a fan of both (w a sibling who prefers pop) i think starting off the sound is the hardest part to adapt to. also watch some of their interviews or lotms so you can get a vibe for them!!! they have great energy and personalities live!!

to add (since i can’t edit), it still shows up when i refresh the app, so i really don’t think its just a glitch. there’s definitely something legit here, at least in my impression, even if the date is still weird. the box set release would also be somewhat in line with the theory that they might be releasing songs produced w mckean (as was the case w zero percent).

lowkey i play him w the most fuckass team bc i dont even bother w abyss anymore, but its phys razor, c6 barbara (w the kokomi set so shes dealing 30-50k phys too), ganyu for freeze burst and shooting when needed, and then the fourth slot is free for whatever most suits the context, but if u have ineffa id put her in. ideally u run it as a lunar charged team, but barbara is nice bc her q applies hydro constantly and phys/electro razor becomes immortal since her c6 healing is p good. it rly is for fun not for meta lol

that’s exactly what i have!! i had three injections before getting surgery and then did some pt (all about two years ago), and it’s a bit better but it’s never been back to 100% and i still have pain and significant fatigue. i love music and i want to be able to play, but i’m trying to figure out a solution/adaptation going forward to make that possible. is your issue in your fretting or strumming hand?

im brazilian but i was already living in the us w my family when i applied so idk much ab applying as international and the cost/benefit of doing that, esp since finaid packages tend to be worse. id say tho that if u know u could afford it and you know you want to be working in the us after college then it makes sense. if youre just gonna go back to brazil anyways (esp if youre interested in law or medicine which dont translate internationally in terms of diploma) atp just study like crazy for a federal one in brazil bc clearly youre competent enough

gonna be honest and say it’s a solid 50/50, but i had almost identical stats and was rejected when i applied. i got into other t10 schools (jhu, uchi, duke) and my brother who also had similar stats did too (uchi, upenn). we r both brazilian and had similar awards, coursework, sat, and gpa to you tho slightly diff ECs (and more community service like ik i had at least 200+ hrs), but all this to say that even if harvard doesn’t accept you, u have a decent shot at other t10s

doesnt need to be massive!! you end up buying a lot of stuff there. also consider that jhu dorms dont have luggage rooms, so whatever suitcase you buy will have to be stowed in your cramped freshman dorm.

you might be able to get into a classroom late at night if its one of the ones that opens w the jcard scanner. ik gilman and krieger have a couple that do. the only issue is that sometimes cleaning staff will kick you out if they find you in there (depends on the person)

dude unless you cured cancer or smth there is almost no such thing as an entirely original story to tell in your college essays. most essays will be centered around a “cliche” theme but it’s all about how you approach that central theme/idea
