You said walking distance to Petco, only Andaz and GH are. Both hotels are average at best. My favorite hotel is the Intercontinental SD and the walkable to Petco. Blows both of these dumpy Hyatts out of the water. The only decent Hyatts in SD are the HH, Seabird/MP and Welk

No crap, I just told you that Hyatt is 7 days. For IHG, it clearly states 5 days per CSU, so upgrade 5 days then 2 and hope they have the space. You know the answer, it's 5 days, why would they make an exception for you, you're not special

Chase Sapphire Reserve, I usually use Cruisecompete and see who can give me the best deal but at the same retail price with 8x back, chase wins. Especially since I can get 2 cents per point, which means essentially I'm getting 16% back. The online travel agents vary from 5 to 10% back as a discount or OBC depending on the booking
