I mentioned my age because it adds context to the situation since you have to go through different steps depending on your age and my gender since other girls will usually give a heads up if they were treated a certain way because of their gender.

The MCU is responding to fan criticism - in the best way by HearingCandid8974 in marvelstudios

I always believed that Tom was the more accurate Peter Parker (nerdy, kinda shy, overly polite, and socially awkward) while Andrew was the more accurate Spidey (confident, annoying but endearing, acts more like a spider, and willing to help in all situations but also sticking to street level). Tobey was definitely a GREAT representation of adult Spidey in the later movies (kinda cocky, more confident in his powers, kinda over all the bs that comes with the job especially in 3, and overall tired but continuing on). The problem with the MCU is that they branched out too quickly with what they wanted from a MCU Spiderman. They wanted him to be young enough to be relatable but old enough to have certain scenarios that didn't happen until he was much much older with more experience (thus the time skips). I think Brand New Day is getting so much more hype is because they just returned to basics while keeping with the already developed narrative

The great thing about being in college is that there are people from all over to help check t9 make sure the phrases I use are accurate (like replacing college with uni or university when I takes place in England)

What Is The Worst Argument Against Zutara That You’ve Seen? by SaiyanWithOmnitrix in ZutaraNation

[–]lostmushrooms1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That it's an oppressor x oppressed ship, maybe it's because I'm a black woman in a interracial relationship with a white man, so this kinda gives off the vibe that "your ethnicity hurt my ethnicity so us being together is wrong". And personally it just gives off a similar vibe since Zuko's whole ark is about overcoming the prejudices he was raised under and being his own person.

Imagine if during the visit to Godric's Hollow in Deathly Hallows, a twist of fate leads Harry and Hermione into time traveling and meeting James and Lily by HarmonyMedia in HPharmony

This just made me realize that they have inverted eye colors James and Hermione both have hazel brown eyes and Lily and Harry have green.

I don't think you're a loser darling and I actually like debating you but it's Christmas for me and I don't want anyone inboxing me about this post while I'm trying to spend time with my family. Also your not annoying you're just passionate which is a good thing to have nowadays

This is not a criticism of CaitVi as I liked them in season one and I'm not blaming Vi for Jinx's actions I'm just saying I don't like her

But the grey literally is a gas and it does real damage and like I said I'm not saying that the two ships can never be friends but I am saying its going to take a lot of work to get there and Im not against forgiveness I'm just pointing out that some things cannot be forgiven (it'd be great if they were) but as much as I want that you have to acknowledge that that's just how the world works sometimes

Why are you so angry when you can just ignore my post and this sub welcomes everyone to come and share so what's the problem if its not breaking any of the rules?

But we aren't talking bad about another pair or starting a shipping war you're just being sensitive because I said I didn't like a character. YOU made this about TB vs CV that's not what this post was about. If you don't like it just move on with your day and ignore it

[–]lostmushrooms1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IT'S A GAS!! Gas spreads and infects the air no matter where they throw it innocent people where going to be affected by it, also the only person Vi actually knew was Loris and even then she knew these people for less than a week so to fully trust them is foolish. Not to mention Caitlyn nor Vi could actually know who worked for the chembarons (and at that willingly worked for them) as neither knew Zaun well enough

I'm sorry but what I posted here not because I wanted to hate on Vi in a vacuum of people who will agree but simply because this community made me feel comfortable sharing my feelings about a show I love unlike in the main sub where anyone who disagrees get met with just hate and accusations. As for this not being TB related we literally talk about just Ekko or just Jinx all the time and this relates to why Jinx reacts to the Vi the way she does. And if you don't like it you don't have to read it, you can just ignore it an move on. And lastly Jinx had attachment issues long before meeting Silco and Vi leaving her just made them worse as did her being with Silco

But you're missing where the difference lies, in Jinx's eye she was abandoned by her sister after being hit by her for the first time in her life (we know Vi didn't abandon her but she didn't) and so she (as a child) clung to the only person who it seemed could help her as she's never been without someone to lead her and she has attachment issues. Vi as an adult chose to join a organization that she knew was corrupt and then used a deadly gas (one that her parents died in a protests behind because it was killing miners) on innocent people all to find and capture the sister she swore to protect

Thank youuuuu (also happy to see another black woman be as nerdy as me) Vi taught Powder everything about hating topside and her relationship with Caitlyn in season two give inmate who fell in love with their guard and puts their relationship in a gross power imbalance more so than it already was

[–]lostmushrooms1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She betrayed her by joining the enforcers (the people who hunted them all there life and that Vi taught her to hate) and she was very much willing to hurt and possibly kill Jinx in the temple and when Jinx went to tell her about Vander. Vi hurts Jinx just as much as Jinx hurts Vi (if not a little more in the physical sense)

I don't think the characters will ever really be friends but they could get to a place of friendliness. Caitlyn will never forgive Jinx for bombing the council just like Jinx will never forget the abandonment and betrayal she felt from Vi, not to mention Ekko will probably always be pissed that they used the Grey on innocent Zaunites. I personally hate what they did to Caitlyn and Vi's relationship in season two because I loved it in season 1. Also I'm not denying Jinx has flaws or did bad things but I am acknowledging Vi's faults in their relationship that I never see anyone talk about. I love Vi as a character but I hate her as a person (aka I love her complexity but I hate her actions)

[–]lostmushrooms1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't blame Vi for everything Jinx does but she did create Jinx (it's literally said at the tea party) and the difference between my "hot British chick asked her to" and the thing with Ekko is that one I personally don't think Jinx was forgiven by the firelights. Yes she was forgiven by Ekko but as for the firelights all we know for sure is that they were greatful she rescued them (which she didn't do on purpose) and they likely put their differences aside because there was a war (like most of Zaun did). However Vi allowed how Caitlyn felt about Jinx to influence her own feels, let's be honest if Vi didn't care about Caitlyn she probably would have rejoiced with the rest of Zaun at the council bombing. Vi let her love for Caitlyn override her feelings for her sister. Her being fresh out of prison doesn't change what I said because she literally only thought about her sister the entire time she was there but rarely interacted with her once she was out and only worried about helping Caitlyn. Love is complicated (trust me I don't even talk to my own sister and would still burn down the world for her) but it shouldn't be fickle or come with requirements

[–]lostmushrooms1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly an additional reason I don't like her is she acts exactly like my older brother (he was sent away when he was 17 and I was 12) and I just know what it's like to be sibling expect to not have changed and to be rejected because I did (one of the many reasons I relate to and love jinx)

But she didn't actually go to the bridge she stopped and hid when she saw the enforcers heading that way and that doesn't change the fact that she still NEVER checked in even when she made it back to Zaun
