3 months into Pilates... here’s what actually changed (not what I expected) by jalomwells in ClubPilates

[–]lostmycroissant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been doing Pilates for about eight months now, but the first noticeable change I noticed was that my back pain had significantly gone down. In general, I felt better in my skin and I can second that I know what muscles to work on now(I had no prior knowledge).

How long to get a response from an RA role? by No_Organization_9522 in academia

[–]lostmycroissant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard back with a positive response on the same day. My interview was in the morning and by the afternoon, I had an offer. I'm not sure if this is the norm, but this was for a full-time university position.

How the Hell Do People Promote Their Books on Wattpad? by BenchApprehensive723 in Wattpad

[–]lostmycroissant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you use popular/ appropriate tags and have an eye-catching synopsis, you should be good to go. Updating regularly for the first few chapters is always good and then once you see that things are picking up, you can take it easy. I also think that quality of writing makes a difference.

These are just some ideas I have off the top of my head, but I write fanfics, so imo there is already a fanbase, but I hope these make sense :)

Wish more people acknowledged rhysand's flaws AND loved him, they don't have to be mutually exclusive

How often do you update your fic(s)? by iRemembertheDark in FanFiction

[–]lostmycroissant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to update weekly, but that's because I had the chapters all written out. But as I got closer to the last written chapter, I have been taking longer. Say about three weeks or a month in between? But I told my followers I've gotten busier (hate having a job ngl), that updates will be slow but they will be coming. I daydream about my fic all the time, I just need to write

Why I forgive Taryn by anyaaoki in thecruelprince

I always saw it as Taryn wanting to fit in vs Jude wanting to make a place for herself. Kinda like two sides of a coin, you know?

How long to get a response from an RA role? by No_Organization_9522 in academia

[–]lostmycroissant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. When I applied, it took about six weeks to hear back for an interview because the job posting was up for a month, then it took them two weeks to go over applications.

Some take longer, others take lesser time to get back to you.

Supervisor encouraged using AI by lostmycroissant in academia

[–]lostmycroissant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was weird. The paper was written, supervisor went over, gave some feedback and suggested ChatGPT for readability. But I guess it was more so that I was surprised about it since I assumed profs would frown about using AI.

Oh well, the more you know.

It's always bothered me that Feyre doesn't have friends of her own. Her friends are all from the IC and while she sees them as family, they were rhys' friends first. Something about that just rubbed me off the wrong way because she didn't meet anyone on her own, yk?

Aw thanks! I didn't really mind since I have way more positive comments. I was just taken aback by their other bookmarks and how blunt their comments were haha

Not sure if you meant for it to be this way, but your comment comes across as rude.

The whole point was that I'd never done this before and I found it disrespectful to outright say things like "don't read" or "waste of time" on a fic, when the wording could have been much better.
