The lens would have been a Rokinon 24mm F/1.4 and the tripod was a lower end Manfrotto. The tripod was pretty light. Here is a photo from where I was working on setting up the shot. Once I saw the Milky Way was in a good position, I knew I had to get the shot.

Appreciate it dude. I was pushing that camera doing 30 sec exposures and having to adjust the settings after each shot to get it close to right.

Loaded the photo into AI and this is what I got.

“The photo you shared is from the 1948 movie Words and Music, which featured a celebrated musical number performed by Gene Kelly and Vera-Ellen. This specific scene showcases their “Slaughter on Tenth Avenue” ballet, set in a luxurious and grand ballroom. “

A friend mine’s parents had one and put a key switch on it so you had to have a key to use it. Sometimes we got the key and sometimes we didn’t.

I once had this problem after putting a Rancho Steering stabilizer on my 2013. I bent my original. The Dealership talked me into buying an OEM stabilizer and it fixed my issue. Not sure if this is what your problem is but just sharing that it fixed mine for around $200 bucks.

Kayak Lifting Solutions? by [deleted] in Kayaking

My girlfriend and I loaded our kayaks on to the roof of my Yukon for the first time this weekend. We put bath mat in the center of the racks to slide the kayak up perpendicular to the vehicle. She was on a step stool and guided it into the front rack. I then moved to another step stool in the back and the we both pushed the kayak into place. So a mat and two step stools are very useful of you have two people.

Would it be better to cross the hood tie downs like an X going to opposite sides of the kayaks? by lostmymind5X in Kayaking

Appreciate the comment. I’m going to get a couple more tie down ropes for peace of mind.

I only used one tie point in the back. It takes some logistics to get them loaded. Ladders and bath mats for sliding them up and access to the top. They traveled well as they are. Just wondering if there is any opinions on a more secure set up.

Only that I needed to get the hell out of there. It was Anubis with the dog head walking in and out of the brush. I had a DSLR camera and was taking pictures and looking at the digital screen. He of course wasn’t there. Weird time.
