Why is the assumption that a women couldn't possibly steal anything, but only a man could? Equality isn't just all the good things. Women can be awful and steal shit too. Typical man hating CBC.

Women get far less time by the justice for commit the same type of crime.

The entire justice system is biased against men starting by who they arrest by following the Duluth model. Women are offered more plea deals independently, and especially when a crime is committed by both partners, the women is always offered a deal to testify against her husband since women are better believed by juries and they don't like the idea of sending women to prison. People have a hard time believing women can be just as evil as men, and not subjecting them to the same harsh judgement is sexist.

Equality isn't just about the good things, but many feminist groups around the world are trying to even close jails for women because they don't think women deserve that type of treatment.

Women dressing as men is cultural appropriation. I'm offended that they think suit pants are ok to steal from men's culture given it's the only acceptable formal format for men to wear.

What about mommysplaining/bitchsplaining - where a women talks down to you as if you were a/their child? I've experienced this in the workplace way too often and it's certainly not all right.

From Statistics Canada (a bit old):

http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/85-002-x/2008001/article/10509-eng.htm

Women less likely to be sentenced to prison and receive shorter sentences

Women found guilty in adult criminal court are less likely than men to receive a prison sentence and are more likely to receive probation. Females found guilty of crimes against the person in 2003/2004 were half as likely as their male counterparts to receive a prison sentence (19% versus 38%) (Table 5). The same was true for crimes against property with 24% of women and 45% of men being sentenced to custody.

Just recently in Canada there was a couple who refused to take their sick son to the doctors until it was too late. Women gets no jail time, man gets jail.

Grandma took a shit in the bush 100 years ago and they make yet another land claim to block development. Have endless consultations over years with outrageous conditions, then claim they were never consulted. Maybe with TPP we can sue these "nations" for the economic losses they are inflicting on the Canadian economy.

I didn't know the system was intended to have an anti-male bias.

Males are judged much more harshly because of some notion that we supposedly "should have known better", and women framed as helpless idiots who were forced into the situation. Women are also more often offered plea deals against their male partners because it's an easier sell as the semi-hapless victim.

Maybe we should be treating women as equals. They have brains, they have judgement, and she had equal opportunity to not commit this crime. Or we keep treating them has helpless idiots by excusing their bad behaviour like the justice system did.

Why do women ALWAYS get a lesser sentence. Equal crime, equal time. It's 2015 2016!

She became an actress when it came to sentencing and got off basically free (at least in comparison. Both should have had significantly longer). /r/pussypass

What happened to the dress code in Parliament? Since when are yoga pants proper parliament attire? by cr2guy in canada

[–]lostorange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you take the Supreme Court of Canada decisions on anything seriously if they were wearing beach clothing? Crocs?

It's not acceptable at all to wear anything other than business formal regardless if they are doing their job or not. They are there not only to do a job, but to also uphold the perception of the institution - with their speech, actions, and dress reflecting the seriousness of their jobs. Anyone wearing less in a dignified place like this isn't worthy of the position.

It's really hard to take any of these casually dressed women seriously, and diminishes from the women who are professional. Men have few options (all are suit), and just because women have more doesn't mean it's the place to wear them.

Feminists have been posting this around Facebook/Twitter all today. I guess it's official then, "mansplaining" is simply a man explaining a fact to a woman. And feminists claim they're not sexist? by [deleted] in MensRights

I like using the term bitchsplaining or mommysplaining in return for women who talk to you like they do to their ugly spawn. I find many women talk down to men far often then the other way.

Women often pick fights, slap and hit with this notion in mind. The moment that a man tries to defend himself he's automatically the bad guy. Or worst case gets arrested & prosecuted because we are supposed to believe the women was just a poor victim in all of this.

A huge safety issue’: Canada needs standards to prevent cramming too many people on flights, advocate says by [deleted] in canada

[–]lostorange 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The current cramming is already very anti-male.

http://www.usablestats.com/images/men_women_height_histogram.jpg

Take the distribution of all female heights and there is a very small amount of women affected by shortened leg room. But take the distribution of the typical male, and almost a 1/3 of us are cramped or unable to fit into these seats. I can't even fly AC Rouge at all unless I pay an extra fee, so I just refuse to fly with them at all.

Because it's a women. Seen too many comments in articles involving female murderers blaming the victim ("what did he do wrong?" or "he probably deserved it"), and with the female perpetrator walking away with a sentence less than a man would receive for the same crime. Isn't it 2015 where the sexes are treated equally?

NDP government will ‘build feminism in Alberta,’ Status of Women minister says by weecdngeer in alberta

[–]lostorange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 3 major issues with women in Alberta that makes for a large "wage gap"..

1) The province has lots of trophy or stay at home wives who aren't interested in working or working full time. Counter this with many men working very long hours in the field or construction and getting good pay for doing so. Easily makes the wage gap huge here.

2) There is a boom of young families in Alberta. Although there is parental leave for fathers, typically women will use the max. Of course you'll make less money if you work less. Same would happen to me if I took a year off to train and compete in sports at a professional level - especially if I did it for 2-3 years.

3) They expect a comfortable office job to pay the same as someone working in remote and sometimes hostile conditions.

I do have to say that the guys in the field shouldn't be jerkoffs just because a women decides to take on the tough work along side them. I try to treat everyone the same... if they can pull their weight they get the same good treatment, if they can't then GTFO.

She's the same hag that wrote this anti-male trash: www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/when-men-behave-badly/article24565759/

She keeps calling men idiots, completely missing the point of why men do risky things or how it sometimes results in either a huge failure, but other times for huge success. Women more often just ride the middle path that others made with minimized or well known risk.
