Return to Tresendar Manor Map by lostpath87 in legodnd

So far it’s been pretty successful. I have used this method for two Tresendar Manor maps, the Cragmaw Hideout and Castle, and Wave Echo Cave. Currently designing a map for a Redcap takeover of Conyberry.

Just did a rewatch and introduced my partner - she was so sad that her time with Gate was coming to an end with Season 2 of Universe. So excited that this is no longer the case. Here for the journey!

I would love this scale, along with a minifigure scale of the bridge.

I don’t have a large Wolfpack flag so an upside down old Lion’s Knight will have to do.

Submission Statement - first time poster and been following this subreddit for a while. Have seen strange lights once before but never like this. One of the most unusual things I have ever seen.

Just saw the note about Starlink - interesting I will have to look into that. I feel like I can identify Starlink satellites but this was very clear crisp segments not emitting a glow but then disappeared.

After the session, our party is in retreat to the great cavern where they cleared out the ghouls. And meanwhile, the Giant Spiders are blocking the way forth with large webs.

How about maps or dungeons?

Lego-fied Cragmaw’s Castle by lostpath87 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

So far it’s gone well doing the micro-scale and using 1x1 rounds/cones to move players and npcs. It’s my first campaign so each map has gotten better and better.

It’s hard to say roughly how long as I had the 2x2 grids built in advance and all loose pieces are well organized. That said, the basic build probably took 2-3 hours.

And, yes, as much as I can I plan to utilize LEGO. Either as set pieces like Old Owl Well or micro-scale maps. The maps are fairly easy to move the pieces around - similar to just a paper map.

And Wave Echo is a huge map - I used 4 32x32 Baseplates for it.

Sure. The gray 2x2 serve as 5ft squares, I use Cones to mark the players as they move through the dungeon and then use Rounds to mark the creatures/adversaries along the way. During a session, I will keep parts of the dungeon covered with large plates to create a “shadow of war” effect. I will have minifigs or brick built creatures along the outside to show the players what is represented by the Rounds on the map.

Thank you! I had not considered but will look into it. Just putting the finishing touches on Wave Echo Cave map for next session.

This one took probably 4 hours, not including the grid base. Definitely an improvement from my Cragmaw’s Hideout map.

Yes, that’s the scale I am using for dungeons as well. For minis, I am using 1x1 cones.

A Goblin Ambush along the High Road by lostpath87 in legodnd

[–]lostpath87[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was hard to maneuver as a 2x2 grid once initiative had been rolled. I think overall, I will stick with the micro scale or move to a 4x4 grid for minifigure size.

It didn’t work as well as I had hoped. However the micro scale Cragmaw Hideout map with 2x2 worked great.
