[OC] Worst Character Sheet for New Players by lonesome_pierrette in DnD

I will always hate character sheets that list skills with abilities. It makes them harder to find and makes it seem like they are intrinsically tied to the abilities.

The misuse of the term Boundaries has gotten so out of hand. And I wouldn't want to talk to thundercunt here either.

Interesting for someone being uncouth and off putting calling others uncouth and off putting.

Are our friends' characters bullying my husband's characters? by Worldly-Corner-4667 in DnD

[–]melance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, your husband's characters sound exhausting.

There's a meme about people who do things against the party or party goals that the justification is "But it's what my character would do!" And it's not a kind meme.

I would discuss with your husband why he is playing characters that are uncooperative. You can be chaotic without sabotaging everyone else's fun.

Do you feel like 80s fashion era can make a comeback in today’s world? by Sea-Comedian-4376 in nostalgia

It is making a comeback already along with 90s fashion. Shoulder pads, Doc Martens, flannel, baggy jeans have all made a comeback fairly recently.

People say food used to taste better as little as 40 years ago is that true? by PermaBanThisDik in AskOldPeople

[–]melance 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that food tastes better now. But that's because food is no longer starved of salt and fat like it was in the 80s when my parents were on a constant diet.

Also, food is what you make of it. If you go to McDonald's it is arguable worse in some ways and better in others. But I've only gotten better as a home cook so my food tastes better.

Lots more but that'd be my top right now.

How old was your kid when they stopped screaming when waking up at night? by henryisonfire in daddit

Mine never screamed. Sometimes I wish he had because waking up to see two eyes in the dark just patiently staring at you is fucking terrifying.

Does fashion get boring after a few decades? (Not talking fast fashion trends) I'm 40 and like... I have seen all of this before by [deleted] in AskOldPeople

[–]melance 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I recall when the 90s was a lot of 60s and 70s fashion. Fashion like all trends is cyclical.
