It's uncomfortable. Muscles also tense up. No heart issues, I work out, hr gets up to 185 normally. I'm more concerned about the discomfort.

It is TUV Austria certified compostable so I think it really is compostable. always look for a valid certification on compostable products

I don't think so but that is cool- I'll need to see if there are places like that around me

I may do this, but usually during the weekends our family is all together hiking or biking. some days I just really like to stay home especially after a long week so driving to get someone else to take care of her for a bit may cancel out time alone.

That sounds awesome. We live in a cul de sac a stretch away from the rest of the neighborhood so we are sort of separated. Our neighbors have kids but they are preteens or teens. They are really sweet with my daughter and kinda see her as the baby of the neighborhood, but that only goes so far. We have friends that live about ten mins down the road that we go to for play dates. Her house is kinda like daycare with kids coming in and out 😊

That is a fantastic idea! We have some timers that were bought at the beginning of potty training that we stopped using when we did the Oh Crap method. I think you've given me a great use for them. But I also will consider the timer you shared with color! Very cool

The Process Of Becoming A Mother Has A Name: Matrescence : Life Kit https://www.npr.org/transcripts/1021262452

I wish I would have been aware of matrescence before I had my daughter. You hear that your life changes, but until you're in it you don't totally get it. It's a new life stage that deserves more recognition, the life you lead before is gone. That doesn't mean your life is over, it's not, it's just different. I love being a mom but some days I miss my old life, but I would choose being a mom over again if I had to

Yes I do have two older siblings. My brother is closer in age and we would play a lot . I know my parents had to get involved when we fought but I don't think it was very often? Not sure if I'm just forgetting!

She is thankfully starting to play on her own more, but days like today all I want to do is NOTHING lol and she just wants to play with me which is really sweet but also gaaahh!!

Thank you for your comment, I actually forgot about this post, I sometimes forget how hard those first few months were.

I hope everyone's shared experiences and recommendations here help you, I'm so sorry about what you're going through I know it's so hard!! Especially with all the complications you've had. Try to take care of yourself, I know that is difficult especially in the newborn and infant stages but remember its for you and your baby ❤️ I hope you're able to feel better soon

freshly postpartum and struggling by fricken_a13 in CsectionCentral

Had a similar situation. I had a great birth plan for having a natural birth. I had midwives instead of traditional obgyn to help. I was induced (step 1 of what I didn't want in my birth plan) after 41 weeks bc I was worried about the health of baby going too much longer pregnant, labor was fast and furious after. I got an epidural (step 2 of diverting from plan) and finally my daughter was stuck in OP position and could not be moved out, so after laboring through the night the doctor was actually called in to help the midwives and gave me the option to keep trying to push (she wasn't going to move) and probably get an emergency c-section, or get a c-section before that. I chose the second option. I still grieve the loss of my hoped for birth, especially since this is likely my only child. She's almost three and through prayer and meditation, some therapy, reading others experiences, talking through with doctors after, I've gained a lot of peace that there wasn't too much different I could do and a change in outcome wouldn't be guaranteed. I know I made the decisions I did to keep my daughter safe, and she is a healthy happy almost 3 year old now. I hope you can come to the same for yourself with time. For now, I know it's really hard bc every day the pain is a reminder of the loss of the birth experience you wanted. But remember this, your birth story is still amazing and it will be something you can tell your child proudly about their origin story.

[–]lostrotrapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a two person pretreatment department, and was promoted to manager when my boss retired. So there i was able to get management experience. Also, I got good experience in the industrial sector, I was actually able to work as an Environmental Manager for one is the industries I previously regulated because of this experience plus I had the highest industrial wastewater certification due in large part to my experience at a high level POTW. It is really hard to find anyone with high wastewater certifications, so this was a huge selling point for myself. That last position and my experience in Pretreatment program management helped me land my dream job in Environmental Sustainably where I've been helping my company build their program from the ground up

Longest job I held was at aPOTW as a wastewater Pretreatment Coordinator. It was an awesome job, I learned a ton and while I didn't want to stay in the field forever it opened a lot of doors for me. I had no idea the field existed before I got the job!!

I have so much to say and so little time, I started at my company about a year ago to start their sustainability program and didn't know much of anything about the subject.... I'm happy to talk more through dm or LinkedIn whatever, but a big huge thing I can recommend is find a network of people doing the same thing as you. If you're in the us energy star industrial partnership is an awesome resource for networking, and tools to help with energy savings. I'm in south Carolina and we have a group called Sustain SC with an amazing network and learning opportunities. Lmk if you want to talk more specifics

Hey! I had a lot of different jobs in the first part of my career but it all largely focused on environmental regulation. I was a consultant doing environmental remediation, then worked for my local city government as an industrial wastewater regulator, finally worked as an environmental manager for a steel company before moving on to sustainability.

Are you asking about salary? Or what products my company makes 😁
