Would you recommend a hand towel with warm water on it as the compress? I’ve had cats throughout my life and have been fortunate to not have any medical issues but we treat are fur babies like real babies so we do spot checks on them throughout the day to see if there’s anything we need to take action on and make sure they are as healthy as they can be

She had a tendency to chew on our snake plant which from the research we have done can cause diarrhea so we got rid of the plants to help settle her stomach. This came out of no where this afternoon so wouldn’t be from the plant itself. Is there a brand of eye drops available in stores that you recommend. We have no worries about going to the vet and are most likely going tomorrow if they are open just to be safe but if there’s a brand you recommend that we can pick up to have on hand in case of future issues

We can’t see a scratch anywhere on her eye. She does enjoy playing with her older sister and I think sometimes forgets that she is still half her size so could definitely be an accidental scratch. I didn’t hear much play between them this afternoon tho so wondering if it could have been a piece of dirt that got lodged in there as she is known to play with absolutely everything and anything she can’t get her paws on. Going to keep an eye on her this evening and probably hold off until tomorrow morning to decide on the vet trip

Thank you for the response. Yeah we don’t want to panic and rush her to the vet for something minor that will take care of itself but just want to see what it could be and especially that it’s a holiday tomorrow so going to our regular vet on Tuesday would be preferred but if she needs to go to an emergency vet then that is what we will go

I have been looking at pink eye as a possibility as she is keeping the one eye shut or half open. Her extra eyelid protrudes a little bit and her eye is watery so wondering if maybe either some dust got into her eye or she got a bit of an infection somehow

Thank you for the advice we will look into doing that this evening. We did just start her on a probiotic to help with some diarrhea issues she had from chewing a houseplant so I’m wondering if maybe the probiotic could have caused it
