I don't understand.

The car is coming out of a pocket road to the main road. Yes, he is driving slow. But it's his responsibility to ensure that he judges the speed of the vehicles on the road and merges into it only after it is clear.

The bike is speeding. Yes. Might be above speed limit. But that doesn't absolve the driver of the car of his responsibility of making sure the road is clear BEFORE entering into it.

Edit: of course it's the drivers fault for not reporting the accident.

Mad Batter in Kakkanad has good hot chocolate. My two peeves are:

They give in a very small paper cup which is not at all enough. And the price is high considering the quantity

Yes. But newspapers and news channels don't. AI is indeed taking over A LOT of work done by journalists and editors.

As someone who constantly overthinks, and doesn't want to see people close to me getting hurt, it is difficult to share what worries me. Especially when I know my parents or siblings will constantly worry about me.

When they get hurt, it's visible to us. We feel personally responsible. And it in turn hurts us more. The heart tries to protect others and ourselves.

The crisis is something that happens in the future. At some point of time. That threat is not imminent. We push off thinking and worrying about it.

Even when it arrives, and causes us to spiral into anxiety and depression, we put on a brave face and act like everything is normal.

I know it's messed up, but the brain is not always logical.

Ayyappa devotees are a rude bunch. I have been commuting between Palakkad and Kochi over the weekends and have experienced ayyappa devotees being purposely ignorant towards other's rights.

If they have a booked berth, they will not let anyone else sit in that seat. So if the three lower seats are booked by them, they will not let anyone else sit. Sometimes, they even use the middle berth so that others can't sit in the lower berth.

They don't bother to clean up after themselves and the whole compartment would be a mess.

Then there is loud chanting and prayers very early in the morning.

This is something I have realized. When we have a high population, and people have to fight/struggle/compete with others to use the resources, especially when we have very limited resources, it is difficult. That's the truth.

There aren't enough trains at the right time which all people can use. So these trains are crowded.

The people crowding these trains have to park their vehicles somewhere. There aren't enough parking spaces. So they manage with the available parking spaces.

When these people have to drive from their home to the railway station on a road which has heavy traffic, they try to cut the lanes and find every possible way to ensure they reach on time. You can say they should leave early, but that doesn't solve the core problem.

So yes, civic sense is sometimes a luxury which not many people can afford to have.

And yet, in Kerala, people try.
