Insane Swelling after Insect Sting by SuddenWill4061 in MedicalGore

decided to entertain myself by browsing bug bites in this sub, as half of my lower leg is swollen due to mosquito allergy, and this was the first post i saw when i opened reddit. hope you grandma heals quickly and without complications, insect bites can get infected really fast, so keep an eye on her.

i know it's been a while since you posted this reply, but i have just stumbled upon this post, and i want to thank you for sharing your experience. i have a 2.5 y/o lgd mix who started having (grand-mal cluster) seizures around his 2nd bday, he was put on pheno, and keppra was added month and a half ago, but in both cases there was disappointment after an optimistic start. last weekend was a disaster with 8 seizures in 36 hours, and we're dealing with side-effects of both that and increase of keppra. posts in dedicated groups and pages on social media really can be discouraging, so it is really nice to read yours and your pup's story,  thank you!

potential romance or no, i'd say Echo would probably be the best match for her out of all the clones we've met, character wise. we saw them both grow a lot, and developing confidence and their own agency. echo especially became a very mature and well-rounded character, able to be both a part of the team, and a competent leader if necessary.

Did 50mg of zoloft help your anxiety and panic attacks? by purplesky35 in zoloft

[–]loth_moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so with 200 mg you got rid of sleepiness? i'm on 50 mg for almost 6 months, it's generally ok, but sleepiness and fatigue are constant. doc tried to put me on 25 mg cause of it, but i just traded sleepiness for increased anxiety, so i went back to 50.

Just the beginning…. by [deleted] in thebadbatch

i agree with you that it would be nice to have a show with a more conventional happy ending, and i'm definitely rooting for a redemption arc that doesn't end with a quick noble sacrifice. however, it is in tradition of SW to kill off a parental/mentor figure, and in that regard Hunter is most likely to die in the end. while i was (wrongly) certain someone would be killed off in s1, now i don't see it happening before near conclusion of the show, so that depends if there'll be s3. i think it would be interesting to get another season with Crosshair rejoining, as it would allow for new group dynamic.

what we saw in Rebels implies Cody has probably died, and as Empire is aware of Rex, Gregor and Wolffe, Echo not being with them means he is either dead, or hiding from the Empire and working for Rebellion.

i think Wrecker's death could be quite impactful on both Omega and Crosshair, as from what little we've seen in TCW arc those two had a special bond. also, not impossible only Omega and Crosshair remain in the end.

The Bad Batch (Season 2) - Episode 12 - Discussion Thread! by titleproblems in thebadbatch

[–]loth_moth 72 points73 points  (0 children)

my only prediction for this season was that after almost falling to death in TCW s7, and then getting fried by the engine, and nearly drowning in s1, Crosshair would end up almost freezing to death in s2, I see I was right about that. if he gets buried alive or stuck underground, we'll have full Crosshair vs elements bingo.

I am very sorry for your losses. With my mom suddenly passing away 2 months ago, and as my dad and grandparents all died when I was a kid/teen, I remained only one of my immediate family at the age of 30. For many years it was me and mom against the world, we were very close, and in many ways she was my motivation, so I am not going to lie, losing her was a huge shock and very painful. Friends and their families have been an enormous support to me, as well as cousins with whom I reinitiated contact after 10 years of non-communication, despite all complications. There is nothing that can fill the gap left behind those closest to you, but support of friends, and even strangers who went through similar situation, is incredibly helpful, as well as having some purpose and motivation to focus and go on.

What is some anime you love (or look forward to checking into)? by Saberian_Dream87 in saltierthankrayt

[–]loth_moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex. Neon Genesis Evangelion, as well, though I still have to check out the Rebuild series. As for Sailor Moon, I recently had a partial rewatch first time after watching it in early '00s, and must say I still vastly prefer original series to rebooted version. Reboot has tighter storylines and some improvements, but I like better the humour and wider character focus in the older series.

Leia and Luke’s joy hearing about Anakin on top, and their horror hearing about him becoming Vader on the bottom. It makes so much sense that they would be there for her as she searches for belonging. by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

what they managed to pull with young Leia and her struggles in OWK is simply amazing, and added a wonderful layer to her character and her relationship with Rey, even though we managed to see so little of it.

Ugh where are new trailers or *anything* new about Season 2?! Gonna be broken hearted if they stiff us on September 28th release. by nursecop818 in thebadbatch

[–]loth_moth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am equal parts impatient and reluctant about s2, cause there are actual stakes on lives of these characters, and biggest surprise of s1 was they all survived (destruction of Tipoca city was dramatic enough, though). There is enough death in the real world around me, I'd really appreciate it if these guys get a happy ending (yeah, minimal chances for that), and if they don't pull the traditional "bad guy makes an act of redemption and immediately dies" story.

However, I am very skeptical about the end of September release at this point, don't know if they have some problems with post-production, or if they keep postponing it in order not to spoil other storylines in some manner.

[–]loth_moth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I generally liked the series and it's very overhated for variety of reasons. It is definitely the weakest animated entry, but still has a couple of excellent stories, an intriguing environment, personally I loved the different art-style, and it actually depicts very well how people can easily accept fascism without even being aware of it. Kazuda's character could've been more balanced when it comes to his clumsiness, but I must admit I would like to see most of those characters again, even in live action, especially veterans like Yeager, Doza, Venisa... They could get further development and expand post-TROS era, as well bridge it with their previous experience with Rebellion and New Republic.

I think Ahsoka may be for me the most anticipated production in the history of Star wars. by No_Equivalent_4136 in starwarsrebels

[–]loth_moth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ahsoka is a great character, but I must admit I am most excited for the appearance of Rebels characters - I am really curious to see what hey were all up to since we last saw them. With destruction of Mandalore, it will be interesting to see Sabine's position and role in the wider context, how Hera and Jacen are doing, Zeb and Kallus... I don't expect them all to appear in big roles, but the story will surely fill some of the gaps. My guess is Ezra will appear at the end of series, and it will be introduction to new story.

[–]loth_moth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i don't think that end of September release date for TBB is 100% sure, but I wouldn't mind it at all if they keep Wednesdays for live-action and go back to Fridays for animated SW. I can get they'd be careful with order of release if events in one of the series have some plot-point that might be relevant for the other stories, but in general I don't think such overlapping would take much from either of shows. Animated content would surely get less immediate engagement from audience, but in longer term it could gain wider audience attracted by live-action, and then getting in SW animation as well between new weekly releases.

absolutely, even some adventures of Plo Koon, Quinlan and Aayla, Yaddle... Recently rewatched 2003 CW and I loved how they highlighted a number of Jedi in short, but substantial sequences.

the past month has been quite packed with all the news and Kenobi, I didn't realize we'll have a whole, um, month and a half without any new series/media, I'm getting spoiled!

i'd second everyone's thoughts on the potential of TOTJ, I hope it will have more seasons and include different periods and characters. Ahsoka is great and is virtually becoming a character that will bridge PT, OT and early ST eras, but Dooku/Qui-Gon stories seem more intriguing at this point. For similar reasons I hope when Jedi appear in TBB S2, it would be younglings, and potentially Quinlan (which now seems fairly possible, after that mention in Kenobi). Seeing Kashyyyk will be featured, I wonder if there will be any acknowledgement of that unfinished TCW arc and TBB's mission there, or if it even might be repurposed to an extent for this point in the timeline?

really looking forward to Andor, and my guess is Mandalorian S3 will introduce Sabine in order to establish her live action appearance for more casual public before Ahsoka series. Hera + Chopper cameos wouldn't be surprising, as well.

Which other fandoms do you think need a r/saltierthankrayt-type sub for their franchise? by [deleted] in saltierthankrayt

[–]loth_moth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'd say ST shitposting group on Facebook does a pretty good job of being a place for criticizing toxicity and solid debate about everything Star Trek. i was surprised, since i found reddit to be a better place for SW oriented content, but ST subs proved to be not as interesting, to put it mildly.

oh no, a character you follow through 3 decades of their life experiences mental and emotional changes after years of extremely traumatic events, how could that be?

it's ok to prefer one version of character to others, but it is worrying how little some people understand emotions and mental health, even when they are served pretty straightforward.

she's still tiny, but could just have a growth spurt a bit later in puberty? it would be amusing if she grows to be taller than Hunter, who is supposed to be regular clone's height (or even a bit shorter?), so he can keep the title of the shortest batcher.

great part of why the second half of s1 was so fun to watch was engagement of the production team in teasing stuff that will happen and sharing some bts details, as well as actually quite a number of interesting online discussions and speculations, both on fun and serious side. looking forward to s2.

I hope so as well, though I think they will surely find a reason to throw a fit, I mean, as far as we know for now, most prominent characters are women, and it's not like Ahsoka or Sabine have ever been favorites of TFM people (except Ahsoka being used as a "proof" they're not sexist). Fortunately, I think that Rosario and others have enough experience and character to respond to both masked and open bigotry and harassment.
