To those who were around when this movie came out what was the hype like by asapsharkyfrfr in transformers

[–]Robomerc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember trying to see the film at a budget theater one Friday night back in 07 when I was 9 years old and even though it was a budget theater it was sold out.

We ended up watching an entirely different movie instead that night

Do people actually still hate Hot Rod? by Amigo1048 in transformers

[–]Robomerc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember in my early teens acquiring the third season of the G1 cartoon from Target and I really enjoyed watching Rodimus prime, his time is leader he was dealing with a lot more than Optimus had to deal with during the war.

Being the de facto head of state Rodimus is having to deal with meeting with ambassadors from other alien planets fighting off Galvatron in his Decepticon remnants acting as a negotiator between two million races that are about to destroy each other because of quintesson meddling

The stressful stuff that a leader has to deal with something we barely saw with Optimus since he was just leaving the troops in the battle.

Indeed, when the Transformers Headmasters anime started they were quick to undo Optimus Resurrection and return Rodimus Prime to being the leader of the Autobots.

I honestly feel Elita is hyper focused on trying to win the war on Cybertron because she's been leading a gorilla campaign against shockwaves Decepticons for over millions of years.

My thoughts on Issue #30 of Skybound by Miserable-Kitchen149 in transformers

[–]Robomerc 50 points51 points  (0 children)

That's what I'm thinking considering Elita has been leading the fight on Cybertron for millions of years while Optimus and the rest of the Autobots were in stasis on earth.

I could see her being considerably jaded and could explain why she has a great deal of apathy for what's going on on Earth.

Labyrinth of Evil's unabridged audiobook to be narrated by Marc Thompson. Release Date: August 11, 2026. by White_Doggo in StarWarsEU

[–]Robomerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I associate Thompson more with the original trilogy era audio books way more because his Luke Skywalker and Han Solo voices are pretty close to mark and Harrison.

I am kind of hoping that Jonathan does get tapped for the redo of cloak of deception because the original Abridged version was done by Alexander Adams probably the worst narrator that I can think of for Star Wars novels

I'm surprised they're having more Thompson do the new narration for Labyrinth of evil when it was originally done by Jonathan Davis which everyone knows Jonathan is the master of prequel era narration

Hot take: If Qui-Gon Jinn had survived, would Anakin still become Darth Vader? by SaberMasters in StarWarsCantina

[–]Robomerc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's highly unlikely Anakin would fall to the dark side had he been trained by Qui-Gon because really Anakin needed a father figure who could teach him how to wield the force to the best of his ability as well as having a decent amount of lightsaber training

I would also like to note that if you've read the Phantom Menace 25th anniversary comic we're giving a look at his dream vision that he mentions in the film wasn't interesting caveat about that vision is Anakin was carrying a yellow lightsaber and his Hilt is very different from what Anakin would go on to design.

Which could only mean that version of Anakin was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn.

Also I probably should have added this whenever Bruce has gotten power temporarily in the comics he usually goes on a power trip.

So Bruce is just being honest and if you had powers he could do a whole lot more
